They got to Uganda around 23.00 hrs and the whole rescue operation lasted around 90 minutes, well, technically into the following day but yet lasted less than 2 hrs.

They will spend another 53 minutes engaging the Uganda army at the airport before departure but the rescue mission itself lasted less than 2 hours.

Casualties

The operation was a success, but it was not without cost.

Assuming that the kidnapped Oyo state teachers and students/pupils were American or Israeli citizens, the military in these countries would've stormed the forest and rescue them unscathed. I did not support the payment of ransom to kidnappers. The government should do the needful.

Rescue mission here in Nigeria shouldn't be a hard nut to crack ordinarily, considering the numbers of Intels we have with their experience and collaboration with foreign intelligence unit, but with the kind of mentality these bandits have towards killing, it will be more harder, cos they kill for no cause, any slight mistakes from the rescue squads could cost lot of lives.... So I agree with the OP about it being a hard task..
