I know, but that is not the point I am making. Are you saying Canada alone does not have the capacity to host a World Cup event? Why give them such a small allocation?
They have now denied them the opportunity to bid for hosting the World Cup in the next 20 to 30 years because it will be on record that they hosted in 2026, even though we all know they are just like second supporting striker to the USA.
Yes they don't.

Una wey dey watch this world religiously dey try o. The timing of the matches are just so odd due to time zone issues; to even watch the 9 O'clock matches complete is a big struggle for me, talk more of the 11pm, 2am and 3am matches.

I hope European and African countries get to host more World cup tournaments in the future ahead of the Americas and Asian countries with their unfavorable time zone.
The one in Qatar had the best timing

11am to 9pm

When has Nigeria ever represented Africa well at the world cup with our numerous group stage exist.
Nigeria is the African country with the most world cup matches wins.

Morroco might surpass it this campaign though

We have qualified from the Group Stage at 50% of our World Cups despite the self sabotage of our NFF

We are in a place now where I am confident we will give anyone a game

Same can't be said of South Africa and Tunisia who are operating at 100% efficiency (maximising their potential) which is enough to qualify from Africa but woefully short of World Cup pedigree. Unlike Nigeria who mess around in qualifiers with NFF interventions, local coaches and local players at 30% of our potential, knowing that at 100% of our potential, we are good enough for a quarter-final/semi-final run in the World Cup with the right player picks.

At our age and with responsibilities, the only game I can watch past midnight is Nigeria or Chelsea game, unless I am working from home next day with a fairly clear diary

I enjoyed 2018 World cup the most, In fact that was the world cup I watched most of its matches since I started watching world cup.

The matches are always around 5pm, 7pm and 9pm during weekdays. I think they played some matches in the afternoon during weekends.

Where I was living then they brought a big viewing center to our mini stadium with a very large screen. The period coincided with when Budweiser launched officially in Nigeria, we just dey watch match dey chill with Budweiser who brought their sales rep to market the beer all through the world cup at our viewing center. It was more like a carnival.

Exactly !

I spend most of the day enduring my boy climbing me and jumping here and there. Trying to keep toddlers alive alone is a tiring job, then I will spend my night watching games I no emotional attachment to either of the two teams? I can't anymore.

I watch most of the highlights during the day and thank God for all the numerous sports stations on DSTV, I get to watch abridged version of the games during the day at times.

You have no case. As long as the earth rotates on its axis, there is bound to be different time zones and FIFA won't deny other continents from hosting because of distant time differences

Some comments you read here are just soo amusing at times. Imagine Nigeria co hosting a world cup with South Africa and someone is asking why Nigeria game allocations are smaller lol.
I'm disappointed in moratafc. Three nations agreed to co host and you are blaming FIFA for allocated more venues to one country. For hodsake, America is a centre of attraction and its only wise to award them more hosting rights

Blueco saw some decent performance from hato and concluded we don't need another lb ,what if hato gets injured, don't tell me they are counting on Barco , premier League is physical, the likes of elanga will breeze easily pass the nonsense squad we have now. Worst owners of all time.

Europe hosts majority of the world cup so I don't get the compliant about the game time allocations. This is what Asians and Americans go through all the time including club football.

Cukuruku an unfortunate and expensive transfer at £68m that cost us Lewis Hall
You too dey hype this Hall anyhow. grin

He was overwhelmed in couple of games i watched him against top wingers. Cucurella is head and shoulder superior to him, not to talk of when he was still inexperienced at Chelsea. I rate Carreras above him.

Diomonde was on the right wing, right footer for the right wing. I am vindicated.

Actually Canada don't have the capacity. They are not a football country and they have even fewer standard stadiums than Mexico that can host games. They will need to spend a lot of money on renovating old stadiums and building new ones just to be able to host alone.
And the kicker is Fifa don't provide any form of financial assistance to these host cities so they can get world cup ready. It's all on the cities and tax payer money. This is why cities like Montreal, DC, Chicago and Las Vegas pulled out from hosting any games.

Also Fifa didn't give anything in terms of allocation. After their hosting rights were confirmed, 6 cities in Canada, 3 in Mexico and 32 in the US dropped bids to host matches and after another voting process, those numbers came down to 2 in Canada and 11 for the US. All 3 Mexico cities were approved.

I'm sure the 2030 world cup will follow a similar pattern. Spain will host most of the matches and Portugal will host more games than Morocco

I would rather watch my Favorite fake pastor preach, than watch Spain vs Cape Verde.
