As it is now only 3 parties - the APC, PDP and LP have met the constitutional requirement of 25% of votes cast in a presidential primary. But this requirement was not in the electoral act before otherwise the APC and LP would never have been registered as political parties.
So the question is, when was this provision snuck in? And what have the legal advisers of the now deregistered parties been doing? This is malpractice!

The provision affects an existing party and newly registered ones. APC was newly registered then and I think LP had performed well in previous elections meeting the electrol act requirements

You're right but is there any state in the South where Atiku can get up to 25%? How many states are there in the North? Is it up to 2/3 of the states plus FCT? How many states can't Tinubu get up to 25% in the North? He can't get it in Anambra and Enugu in the SE only. Feel free to tell me another one in the South.

Political parties come and go, but the issues affecting Osun education, roads, jobs, and security remain. Those should be the focus of the education.

I think this a joke you are taking too far. ..the ones that might have consequences...it is better the Judiciary should behave because it's logically impossible for all party to meet the 25% threshold especially when there is incumbency powers.

As political parties reposition themselves, Osun voters will be watching closely to see who offers the most credible alternative for the state's future.
