Dogalmighty17:The provision affects an existing party and newly registered ones. APC was newly registered then and I think LP had performed well in previous elections meeting the electrol act requirements |

The real issue is whether the constitutional thresholds were properly assessed and whether affected parties are given a fair opportunity to challenge the decision. Democracy depends on both accountability and fairness. |

This development is a reminder that elections are won by strong political structures, grassroots support, and proven performance. As Osun prepares for 2026, voters will be looking closely at which parties have the capacity to govern effectively. |

LagosOrigin:Ignore the kangaroo judgement. It's borne out of panic. Not only does the ADC have elective positions, the ruling was given in defiance of a court of appeal judgement that had ordered the matter to not be heard until a November. Tonubu and Wike are in panic mood and this judgement was meant to erase news of Amaechi's selection as Atiku’s Vice. It will not stand but it's in your best interest that you don't join Tinubu in celebrating the destruction of our democracy.

This judgment raises important questions about party regulation and democratic participation. Whatever side one supports politically, the rules must be applied consistently to all parties without bias. |

If political parties fail to meet constitutional requirements, the law should take its course. However, electoral competition is strengthened by more choices, not fewer. The focus should be on fairness and strict adherence to due process. |
| Re: Court Orders INEC To Deregister ADC, Accord Three Other Political Parties by kelechiazubike1: 3:56pm On Jun 15 |
If these parties truly failed to meet the constitutional benchmarks, INEC should not ignore the law. At the same time, voters deserve confidence that the process is transparent and impartial. |

With questions now surrounding the future of some political parties, Osun voters may increasingly focus on candidates with established platforms and clear records of service ahead of the governorship election. |

Political uncertainty at the national level often influences state elections. In Osun, this reinforces the importance of choosing leaders based on competence, experience, and a track record of delivery. |

Michaelmercy:Tinubu is already winning the 2027 election but allowing this rulling to stand can make him to loose the next election. The whole opposition will combine together under an eligible party and may gather enough strength to win Tinubu |
| Re: Court Orders INEC To Deregister ADC, Accord Three Other Political Parties by Qudusodu: 4:02pm On Jun 15 |
As the 2026 Osun election approaches, this shows why party stability and strong grassroots structures matter in politics. |

Not happy with this. The presidential election will be too easy for Tinubu, I want a proper contest and not a walkover, they should appeal the judgment |

givedemwotowoto:You're right but is there any state in the South where Atiku can get up to 25%? How many states are there in the North? Is it up to 2/3 of the states plus FCT? How many states can't Tinubu get up to 25% in the North? He can't get it in Anambra and Enugu in the SE only. Feel free to tell me another one in the South. Note: ain't Tinubu's fan. |

Political parties come and go, but the issues affecting Osun education, roads, jobs, and security remain. Those should be the focus of the education. |
| Re: Court Orders INEC To Deregister ADC, Accord Three Other Political Parties by Babangidapikin: 4:20pm On Jun 15 |
I think this a joke you are taking too far. ..the ones that might have consequences...it is better the Judiciary should behave because it's logically impossible for all party to meet the 25% threshold especially when there is incumbency powers. |
| Re: Court Orders INEC To Deregister ADC, Accord Three Other Political Parties by Bamideleayo329: 4:23pm On Jun 15 |
As political parties reposition themselves, Osun voters will be watching closely to see who offers the most credible alternative for the state's future. |

Why didn't the same north give buhari the presidency before tinubu stepped in? Buhari influenced nothing in tinubu s emergence as president. A tinubu that even buhari didn't want as president? givedemwotowoto: |
