| Re: Atiku, Adeleke Lose Tickets As Court Deregisters ADC, Accord Party by IbrahimSola: 11:19pm On Jun 15 |
For the fact that these men saw a lacuna and went for it, congrats. Law is law. If the law says such parties shd e deregistered, then so be it. While shopping for a party, they should have checked the law to be sure. But this might work in Obi's favour. I think a Kwankwaso might be able to mobilize northern votes for a VP position than a Shettima for the same position. Certainly Southern votes will go to Peter Obi as was the case in 2023. And the North without a Presidential candidate might decide to remember the sins of this government against Atiku (deregistration), ElRufai, Malqmi, etc if they're sure that Peter Obi will only do 4 years. The heat is on. And it's getting more interesting. Wheres that basket mouth Nollywood guy in NDC? I mean the one with a very big and wide mouth, where is he? |

SixSeven:Obi did not join ADC to contest He played a book by going there to distract APC , before he join ADC he already had plans with Dickson and OBJ to register NDC clearly , these plans were kept since by this group mentioned including elrufai and GEJ |

Northsouth:Tinubu may for sure be ousted on two grounds: If the North plans a coup if they don't get power or America get's involved. Remeber Iran and US debacle is almost over and the issue of the strait of Hormuz is almost being finalized. The next course of action of Mr Trump may be bring forth regime change in Nigeria. It is no news that Trump detest anything democrats and if we go back in time as to how Buhari came into power with the Obama and John Kerry connection, Trump may just be chirping in to correct this mistake. Also Tinubu hasn't done much to make his base happy and improve the economic situations of things into the election year. Without rigging i see him loosing the election and he needs the election to solidify his win even if the margin is thin. |

runningriot:Read section 225(a) of the constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria. When Atiku was shopping for a party to buy he didn't do due diligence. ADC had a lot of baggage but Atiku blindly bought it. The only fault that I can find with INEC is that they would have deregistered the parties long time ago because this is the law. INEC need not have waited till some people took this matter to court. If INEC carry out the court order now people will read meaning into the action and accuse Tinubu and APC. If INEC disobeys the court order it will amount to INEC acting against the constitution. Some years back so many parties including Gani Fawehimi's were deregistered based section 225(a). Faults: Atiku - wrong decision when shopping for party to buy. INEC - why wait until the courts remind you of what the constitution demands of you to do. |

I agree with Oseni that Nigerian politicians and political parties lack research think tanks to analyze the implications of joining or forming a political party. Without this, they end up contradicting the Constitution of Nigeria. Atiku, with all his resources, should have seen this coming. Before defecting to the ADC, he ought to have commissioned in-depth research and invested millions in his team to determine whether the move violated the law or the Constitution. Hard luck to Atiku. Peter obi saw the trap and moved For now, it is gradually becoming clear that the contest will be between Tinubu and Peter Obi. |

AMINDA:Bro, let's be realistic pls. Where did his votes come from in the last election? How many people voted for him, yet he won. Whether we want to believe it or not, he will win again. That's just a painful truth we have to accept. There's so much selfishness among the oppositions. Getting Tinubu out requires a single opposition backed by all. That will make it difficult for INEC to manipulate the votes. But if Peter Obi, Atiku, Jonathan etc are all coming out, it's an easy victory for him. |

tinubu is making a grave mistake if he ever thinks that he can take Nigerians for a ride. tinubu's selfish ambition and plan to run as a sole candidate can only work in APC, attempting it at the national level is a recipe for disaster |
