A sitting Senator publicly accuses colleagues of signature forgery on an official Senate report that led to suspending a fellow senator, and the Senate’s response is “we’ll take a cursory look”? Laughable.This allegation has been heard across Nigeria and around the world.

The integrity of the entire legislative arm is now on trial. Nigerians deserve more than “we are mature men and women” deflection. If signatures were forged to punish a senator, that is criminal forgery, not some internal matter.The Nigerian Police should immediately investigate this. Period. Let forensic checks be done on the document. Let every senator whose name appears swear under oath or face perjury.

A Senate committee “reviewing” itself is useless , we all know how that ends. If they must investigate internally, make it a bipartisan panel chaired by an opposition senator, not another rubber-stamp job.This small, rotten decadence is exactly why the National Assembly is seen as a den of untrustworthy politicians. No accountability, no transparency, just arrogance. Investigate fully, address Nigerians publicly, and show us due process was followed, or admit it wasn’t.

Anything less confirms the forgery and the cover-up. The Senate is not above the law. Act like it.

The bottom line is that 'The Fly, will always support the Person with Sores all over their Body'.

The same Senators who told Oshiomole in confidence, that their Signatures were "improperly included", will deny it, when push-comes-to-shove, even if Oshiomole has them on Tape!

I hate to say it but the level of Criminality running Nigeria, is better imagined, than acknowledged.
Pot-Bellied, Mafia-Gangsters cannot be running a Country and you expect that Country to develop or expect Bandits not to be on endless rampage.
How long it will take, for things to fall apart, if we continue on this path, is what i cannot say

I just get irritated when I see some very useless comments on nairaland.com. Someone is making a revelation about injustice and you said he's insensible? Are you sure you aren't the one who is for supporting injustice?

Dog-eat-dog Senate is about to go down. Akpabio should remember he still has unfinished business with aggrieved senators from the north. If he isn't careful, it's Adam Oshiomole that would join force with disgruntled senator to end his tenure as the senate president.
