You missed vesting, right? Go back and read carefully before you jump to respond. How much is Bezos worth? He can only sell the portion that's vested for him to sell. They've to be careful in selling even the vested portion so as not to rile the markets and scare investors, and also avoid potential insider trading scrutiny by the SEC. CEOs want to project confidence in the value and prospects of their company if they want the market cap to keep rising.

No matter what, they still can only liquidate a small amount. They largely borrow against their holdings, like a leverage.
