If you try to do something really important that benefits a large number of people, some people will not only oppose it, they will try to kill you

On the job,
1. You don't have to be intelligent to get the good jobs or promotion, just get a good network, or know how to wonderfully kiss a diarrhea ass and you are good
2. Getting a job or working as an employee keeps you in a loop, education was actually designed to domesticate individuals and jobs keep them in a busy loop till they loose purpose and die,
3. Life has no meaning, you are the one that gives it meaning through your relative experience
All the three points are completely true from my viewpoint but the contradiction in the second and third points - if life truly has no meaning whatsoever, then I think the idea of losing one’s purpose becomes difficult to justify. Why would it matter if someone spends 40 years working a job if there is no meaning to begin with?

Reverseng:
1) Some leaders (Doctors, Forcemen etc) are insecure mostly because they know they're incompetent in their field of study, so they try cover up this defect with pride (by being sadistic, or being too nice to everyone without boundaries)

2) Most employees and employers are sad. There's that big emptiness/void we think a job promotion or money is going to fill, but alas, we find out our view isn't aligned with reality

3) People work jobs they hate to buy things they don't like to impress people they don't know.

Most of the people we look up to or call our role model, were most of the time forced into the profession they're in by their parents or friend group. You can never see or measure a person sadness, or vulnerabilities, especially when that person has chosen to use pride to cover up

I meet new people and we get talking and I ask them
"what course did you study"

They reply "Public Health"

Then I tell them something like, "This seems like a very responsible position, being in charge of the health of people who trust you with their health. You're comfortable with this kind of huge responsibility?"

Then they say "errmmmm"

Then I proceed " who's the most richest richhheeest billionaire you know of"
They tell me Mr X

then I say " if I was billionaire X, i ask you to choose a course that you'd love to study, regardless if it's a foreign course that can only be studied abroad, and also regardless of how much it'll be, what course would you choose to study?

Then they tell me " Nursing"

Then I rephrase " There really isn't any nobility in continued hardwork. Most people see suffering as hardwork. Imagine you make all the money in the world and all the richest people in the world look up to you, what then would you do when you're not working for money?"

Then the revelation continues...

You can really know that people aren't happy...go find out yourself and see. Try this exercise for yourself and you'll begin to understand that when people aren't truly happy by being in field or professions they don't like, then sadness creeps in and it grows to depression

I've written about this concept

1) Get a job, but don't stay for long if the salary does not change..
2) Never get too comfortable there without your option B plans drafted out..
3) Maintain office relationship with everyone, because most of your colleagues (even you reading this) are backbiters, it would take them nothing to gossip/slander your name..
4) Endure the BS until you've gotten a better offer..
5) When you finally get the new job and/or before quitting the old one, make sure you put your old boss where he belongs. You start by first correcting him/her unlike when you used to maintain silence in front of rubbïsh. Then on that particular day, remind him of his many errors and leave...

You'll never get rich working a regular job, you're just accomplishing someone's dream while yours is on hold, and don't try to overdo your job, it won't make your boss like you more, or increase your worth, it'll only stir jealousy from colleagues and make your boss take you for granted especially when he sees you're eager to please him, its always going to backfire.
Are you for real?
Re: What’s The One Thing You Learnt On A Job That School Never Taught You? by professore(m): 1:01am On Jun 17
At the end of the day, your personality and EQ carry more weight in this society than your IQ. You can have all the degrees in the world, but if you don't know how to relate with people or manage your emotions, you’ll still struggle where others are gliding. EQ is the real game-changer.

Your colleagues are not your friends, it's a dog eat dog world in the corporate world

don't try to overdo your job, it won't make your boss like you more, or increase your worth, it'll only stir jealousy from colleagues and make your boss take you for granted especially when he sees you're eager to please him, its always going to backfire.

If you try to do something really important that benefits a large number of people, some people will not only oppose it, they will try to kill you

That most smiles in the work place ends there and your colleagues are not your friends

Excerpts from comments.

the plain Truth.
Every perceived problem in the workplace is some people's goldmine.
If you want to solve it, they will solve you.
Don't outshine the Master.
But most of all, get out quick from that loop, because you will never make it in that system. It was rigged against you from the beginning. Giving false hope that would never come

Be smart enough to prepare for your future. The government has no special plans for your future. Your pension won't be enough to take you through one or two years. No school taught me this, I learnt this on the job from my senior colleagues who are now retired.

I studied industrial physics as a course and I must confess that almost everything I do Iat work, I learnt from work and not school.
From Report writing, data analysis using various analysis tools, using data collection tools, subcutaneous injections, presentations, health system strengthening, HIV programs, mechanization services provision and the list goes on and on.

He's right. Life has no meaning except what you give it. Someone spending 40 years on a job may be doing so, not necessarily because of anything other than hope...

I read accountancy, I become chartered accountant before securing job as accountant. So virtually every thing I learned is exactly how it was applied. I do consult my textbooks for daunting task and such referencing do give right direction on how to go through

Acquiring relevant knowledge and education to job specifics will always help and contribute 99% knowledge bank.

Most times we don't understand what we re taught in schools. Most students crammed rheir courses to pass exams
However there is huge gap between academic knowledge and job experience. That is why professional courses like medicine, accountant, etc requires at least 36months intern period before granting final licence to practice

Sometimes I wonder why people make such comments...

Is it that they feel their perceived definition of "meaning" is universal?

Some wereys even see getting high as "meaningful" .. lols

But if we see "meaning" as contributing to humanity and society, more than half of human population isn't qualified....

"Meaning" means too many things that that talk is rendered somewhere around being sensible or nonsensical.
Orga meaning is definition, it has nothing to do with reasonable or not. Meaning that are reasonable to you may not be reasonable to others for example; religion is reasonable to some people but not to others.

The experience of relating with different people(students), gaining useful information from their lifestyle and personalities.

Also, knowing the foundation of different courses, studies, subjects, topics, books, etc...

In board meetings, you don't really say how awful your boss or direct supervisor is, you make your presentation and move on.

i).NOT EVERY PROMOTION IS A REWARD FOR PERFORMANCE,..SOMETIMES THAT PROMOTION MIGHT ACTUALLY BE A "SET-UP",..be wise

ii).Forget whatever HR says,..there's nothing like CONFIDENTIAL WHISTLE BLOWING. In fact,.dont make the mistake of trying to be a whistle blower. E no dey end well.

iii).DOCUMENT EVERYTHING,..have a backup to every mail correspondence you're involved in,..it may, no, IT WILL save your career one day.

iv).HR IS NOT YOUR FRIEND,..do not think for one second that the word "HUMAN" in human resources means HR is there to protect employee's rights.

v).Being GOOD at your job is a good thing, but once you become a KEY-MAN at any role so much so that your supervisor finds you indispensable, you easily be come the last person he/she recommends for promotion..
And lastly,..

vi).Be LOYAL to your employer, BUT be MORE LOYAL to your career

1. Your colleagues are not your friends know what you discuss with them.
2. Don't backbite at your workplace and don't talk bad about your boss.
3. As a lady, respect your body, don't let any manager takes advantage of you, this helps me a lot.
4. Know how to control your emotions.
