In the upcoming Governorship Election in Ekiti State this Saturday (According to Clause:40(i) and Clause:40(ii) of the recently released INEC’s “Regulations and Guidelines for the Conduct of Elections, 2026”), it is very clear stated that the INEC will TRANSMIT two different types of the same exact Polling-Unit Results into the IREV Portal.

(i) Transmission of the “Validated Polling Unit Results”
This result is a type of “Electronic-EC8A” (e-EC8A) which would be filled right inside the BVAS-Machines (as stated in Clause:23(e)(iii) and Clause:23(e)(iv) of the INEC’s “Regulations and Guidelines for the Conduct of Elections, 2026”), and “Validated” using some sort of “INEC-Approved Verification Mechanisms”, before the “Validated Polling Unit Results” are then being transmitted to the IREV-Portal.

(ii) Transmission of the “Scanned Copy of the Results”.
This result is a scanned photograph of the hand-written and manually completed “Form-EC8A”, which would be photographed after the physical “Form-EC8A” had been completely filled, stamped, and signed by the Electoral Officers and the party agents at the polling units. The scanned photograph of the physical “Form-EC8A” would then be transmitted to the IREV-Portal after the photograph had been taken.

NDC should not trust INEC, rather they should focus on having their own server offshore. Secondly, all NDC party chairmen at Ward level should have STARLINK so as not to rely on NCC controlled network providers.
