Most of you will just be writing long grammar without listening to the speaker and understanding his context. This is what he said verbatim: "we owe our existence to what happened in this land. Without this heritage, America will not exist"
What he was simply talking about was the Christian foundation of the US. The US was founded by Christians who believed in the Jewish God as preached to them by Christianity. The bill of independence says all men are created equal and have God-given right to pursue happiness. That's a Christian concept and that's what he's talking about not when one country was founded.
