I guess he'd learn when they set fire to his business. Some people just refuse to get it. 25 workers indeed - on top one shop.

Anyway, if he's documented (very likely, given his boldness) and he's decided to fight, I hope he knows what he's doing, which I doubt.
What if he has other shops?

Anyone familiar with SA will know he's lying. Those mini shops or Nigerians in general don't hire South Africans. They hire their own, Zimbabweans or Malawians cause they can't afford SA labour - we don't work for peanuts.

They'll approach him on June 30 to produce those 25 South African labourers - we'll see then.
...the products and goods these mini shops owned by Nigerians and other Africans the products and goods which they stock in their mini shops...is it not from the companies and industries that manufacture this products and goods they buy the products from ... and if all this Africans are chased away who will buy products from those industries and companies...the patronage and sales and revenue of those industries will go down and negatively affect the industries and companies..and those south Africans working in those companies and industries will.lose their jobs

Igbo man !
Until they begin beating him before he leaves.
What stops him shipping his goods to Nigeria?
Southy is not Lagos.
Ship gini? Ideally, he should sell the shop. But I doubt he'd get a good offer under the present situation. And I doubt there's any help for people like him who stand to lose a lot, either from Pretoria or Abuja, hence he's reluctant to leave and going on about 25 workers.

Our own govament Nigeria are doing the same thing to us, they are making us believe South africa are the problem (which they might be) we should wage war against SA ans to divert attention away from their looting and corruptions. So what's the difference?

His boldness eminates from his arrogance, not because he's properly documented or following labour laws.

Who told you South Africans can't run spaza shops? Maybe concentrate more in acquiring skills to run supermarkets because since Shoprite left your shelves and malls in Nigeria are laying empty all across the corn-try.
If they can then what's the problem?

Of course, it's a possibility if he has multiple shops or businesses. Just not likely with one shop.

Oga leave their country for them. It's better to count your loses and return home than for these people to take your life.

Remember people have lost trust in the system so they're now policing their communities themselves. There's collusion between illegal migration syndicates and SA officials, hence the situation has reached critical levels. Even if you reported an employer violating labour laws, more often the authorities will request a bribe.

There's currently a national probe into police corruption and it's revealing how rotten the system has become. You can Google it - Madlanga Commission.

It's a complex situation that's just simply labeled xenophobia by lazy journalists.
Now I got the point but unfortunately some legit immigrants are the ones suffering the consequences.

I am with South Africans on this because I am of the school of thought that illigal immigrants breeds insecurity. That's exactly what is happening here. Most atrocities are committed by these illegal immigrants and I believe they MUST be flushed out to regain sanity.

However, I don't condole in viligantism against well documented immigrants. The agitators should be educated on differentiating between illegal immigrants and legal immigrants.

But the impression from the video exhibited act of viligantism because even when he said he has his documents, they insisted he must go. No nau.

Agreed. Maybe also he could have hired that number over the years and just twisting the story to fit the current narrative?

Does illegal immigration really breeds insecurity or it just exposes the lapses in the security and social system? grin

Both. It breeds insecurity and exposes the security and social system. Vulnerable and porous borders is part of lapses under security. Lack of proper documentation of indigenes and citizens is part of lapses under social system.

The Ministry of interior has failed woefully in this aspect.

From your own explanation what breeds insecurity is failure of the system not immigrants ( the immigrants like some locals just exploit it). grin

I still agree with you but I think the system might have overlooked this lapses due to reasons best known to them. But I think the government must react and focus more on documentation of citizens and securing porous borders.

However, about the system thing, what do you suggest should be corrected?

It's the migrants living in their country that messed up?

Why would you be living in another person's country and still be mocking the person that you are better than him?

I am not a security expert, but I totally agree with your suggestions. My only concern is the inability of the masses to see that they are being manipulated by the system.

By going after the immigrant, they have indirectly absolve the politicians of their failures. I think the citizens should hold the government accountable and once that is done, the problem of undocumented immigrant will solve itself.

So anytime someone mocks you, you destroy their properties or put their lives in danger? What happens to rule of law?

You sure do know how to clap back. That "filing emotional issuance claim" part got me 😁😊. I'm just a non-sentimental Naija man, btw

😭😭😭

We're just enjoying the latest episode of the "South Africa Regrets Everything" channel.

Yesterday it was the protesting "working girls". Today it's the shack shop owner supposedly employing 25 South Africans. 😂

And somehow this has ended with Nelson Mandela, donations, sacrifices and freedom struggle speeches.

Brother, are you here to post about the topic or filing an emotional insurance claim from 1994?

The tears are flowing harder than the donations ever did. 😂

Still doesn't mean a mob should ask him to shut it down if he has his papers. Who gave them such powers?

You appear to have drifted casually on to the side of this unelected mob with your last paragraph, they should never approach anybody as they don't have the right to do so. In fact, those people should be allowed to bear arms to protect themselves from such an illegal mob.

What effontery on display, you are telling someone to hand over his shop to other people?
