Chai, you no even read the article well sha. The president and his son who is the vice- president never resigned. It is the prime minister and other head of ministries that resigned. Don't you think they were forced to do so? BioData45: |

fasho01:What has happened is the equivalent of the president asking the cabinet to resign. President keeps.his job |
| Re: Equatorial Guinea Government Resigns After Failing To Meet Objectives by nairalanda1(m): 8:29pm On Jun 17 |
geoworldedu:What is happening there is the equivalent of Tinubu asking the ministers of his cabinet to resign. Tinubu will still get to keep.his job. In brief, the cabinet is taking the fall for the President re the failures of the government. Keep in mind that the president of Equatorial Guinea has been in power since 1979. His son, who has a lot of corruption cases waiting for him overseas has been in power since over the years as vice president. They keep their jobs Plus Equatorial Guinea is a very broke and poor nation. The President is using his ministers as scapegoat for his failure there ( At least he is better than his predecessor, Macias Nguema who would have long since killed them,.and then had dinner with their ghosts.) |

"the principle that responsibility in public management must be accompanied by results". I felt this line sink deeper into the deepest part of my soul, most Nigeria politicians can't relate to this, in fact, they'd rather tell you give another term to perfect their failed ambition but again, the government have been there since 1979 and from my last visit there, Eq. Guinea just like other Africa country blessed and cursed with oil is nothing to write home about. Anyway, something for the stooges to feast on. |

damble:Oga, you should reason before you make comments! Elected officials cannot be sacked in a democracy. They can either be impeached or serve the term and not voted for again. It's only appointed officials that are sacked. Now, for a president that have served decades to come out and blame officials is utterly ridiculous! |
