She's accused of bribery here, not stealing.
She was accused in the UK of accepting bribes from oil businessmen in exchange for helping them obtain lucrative oil and gas contracts while she was Nigeria’s petroleum minister between 2010 and 2015.
The UK had jurisdiction mainly because:
much of the alleged bribery activity and spending happened in Britain,
Diezani lived in London for years,
some alleged benefits were UK-based properties, luxury shopping, services, and bank transactions,
and UK anti-bribery laws allow prosecution when corruption activity passes through the UK financial system or occurs on UK soil.

These are different from the charges in Nigeria and even US which she seems to have run away from like money laundering, missing oil revenues, improper contract awards, and luxury assets allegedly bought with illicit funds, including properties and a superyacht.
