Nobody is denying that Israel faces genuine security threats or that October 7 was horrific. The question is whether endless military campaigns actually solve those threats.

If Israel's strategy is working, why are Israelis still living under constant security fears after decades of war, occupation, targeted killings, invasions, and blockades? At some point, we have to ask whether military force alone can achieve the safety Israel seeks.

As for people in other countries celebrating October 7, that doesn't necessarily prove a desire for Israel's destruction. Many see the conflict through the lens of Palestinian suffering, rightly or wrongly.
