Why Do People "Fall Under The Anointing" During Church Services? by judewrites(op): 7:10am On Jun 21
📖 1 Kings 8
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
¹⁰ And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD,

¹¹ So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.

I am sure you have witnessed this scenario before:

A spiritual leader prays for and lays hands on certain of his/her members and "whoosh!" they fall to the floor like a pack of cards.

The Charismatics call this experience "slaying in the Spirit" or the most commonly known term "falling under the Anointing".

While many skeptics doubt and mock the authenticity of this divine experience, it is 100% biblical.

I have been personally "slain in the Spirit" on different occasions when prayed for by genuine ministers of God and it felt like mild electricity ⚡ flowing through or warm water 💦 drenching my body.

During King Solomon's dedication of the magnificent temple, God was so pleased that He filled the temple to the brim with His presence.

In response to His overflowing presence, the officiating priests couldn't stand on their feet anymore but were compelled to the floor.

Interestingly, we see something similar when John the beloved encountered the glorified Jesus:

📖 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last.
— Revelation 1:17

The Lord's presence was so overwhelming, John subconsciously prostrated at His feet like a dead man.

👉When people are "slain in the Spirit" their spirits are simply responding to God's overflowing presence in awe and reverence.

God so loves us that He often touches us at our point of needs with His presence.

However, unlike in the Old testament, our bodies are now the temples of God's presence...we are carriers and conductors of God's glory. (1 Corinthians 3:16-17)

God does pour out His presence through His ministers but It's important to note that while people may "fall under the Anointing" during their prayers, this is not meant to glorify any minister of the gospel.

It is a dangerous thing for any pastor, prophet, evangelist, apostle, etc. to share the glory that exclusively belongs to God.

📖 ...and I will not give my glory unto another.
— Isaiah 48:11

But camera men, singers, instrumentalists, ushers and interpreters do not partake in the anointing.

So, no camera man needs deliverance? Are all camera men holy and clean or is God not interested in touching those who work in the church?

"Falling under the anointing" is one of the few miracles that seems to require an usher standing behind you like a human airbag.

Funny how the Holy Spirit always knocks people backward in churches that expect it, but somehow never in the supermarket, at the bank, or while filing taxes.

If God's power is making people collapse, you'd think at least one person would occasionally fall forward or sideways just to keep things interesting.

Lol I'll say my mind later
But for now let me finish my pie 🥧

Re: Why Do People "Fall Under The Anointing" During Church Services? by WeirdAlien:
But it's not recorded that people "fell under the anointing" while Peter, Paul, or any of the apostles ministered. In fact this phenomenon is purely a Pentecostal and Charismatic thing that started around the 1730s.
We all carry God's presence, and no pastor/minister has superior or greater anointing than another Christian - 1 John 2:20 and 27.

So where did these pastors get their own from??
Re: Why Do People "Fall Under The Anointing" During Church Services? by Gentleman2theco: 8:45am On Jun 21
Because it's a cajole by black magic. There are demons pulling them down as requested by your pastors who happens to be their allies

The same reason why fans fall when Mikel Jackson and others enters stage or performing is just a reaction within the system . Nothing external comes from anywhere to fall them that’s why not everyone falls

That’s also why the so called spirit doesn’t fall Pastors wives , their children, assistant pastors , instrumentalist , Ushers , those guards that stand infront of altars .and wealthy men in the church . The spirit do avoid falling them .

As pastor start praying , putting hand on people head one by one people start falling😩😩😩😩 serious fall one guy almost to my stand fall and tumble😒😒 i said nah in my mind nop nop I’m not falling sht here. My turn is like wast of time the pastor do do, push, to give me raking is only option to make me fall but the pastor couldn’t do it because of plenty eyes.😎😎😎😎 to cut the story short I’m the only one that didn’t fall. my mom shout Jesus Christ that my witch has grown and birth 😆😆😆😆 for months my mom didn’t let me rest she always remind me how strong my witch has become that only me didn’t fall out of many kids in church

Na holy spirit fall on them o!

I don't know why the holy spirit is selective!

It doesn't fall on Cameramen, Ushers, pastor's families, security personnel, etc.

Also i wonder why the holy spirit that fell on Samson back then can fall on our armies to kill boko haram and other terrorists.

When the pastor tells you to close your eyes and free yourself, he gives you a little push on your body which will make you crash to the floor.
A good trick dat pastors do use during anointing hours.
Re: Why Do People "Fall Under The Anointing" During Church Services? by Image123(m): 8:56am On Jun 21
Most of the falling is because they expect to. Some very few is being overwhelmed either by divine power, some other power or the atmosphere of events. In all, 99.9% is needless. Christians are not called to fall but to rise and raise, arise and lift up. You don't need to fall to get anything tangible from God.
If you want theatrics, no problem. Fall as much as you can.
