kppo:Faith is the REASON and EVIDENCE to Believing as a Christian. Faith is TRUST and RELIANCE on the INTEGRITY of a Personality (GOD or Person). Faith is a FUNCTION of RELATIONSHIP! eg. My Wife will never betray me Belief is a POSITION we choose to take when our EVIDENCE about a situation is SUBJECTIVE or when our KNOWLEDGE about a situation is INCOMPLETE. eg. I believe that with time Iran will acquire a Nuclear Bomb. Knowing is a POSITION we choose to take when our EVIDENCE about a situation is OBJECTIVE or our KNOWLEDGE is ABSOLUTE. eg. I know a ball when I see one. A Believer is a STATE of Being Faith is what is owned by a person A Christian thus is a BELIEVER because he has FAITH! But this is not to say that a person cannot believe FIRST but end up having FAITH. eg. A Nominal Christian becoming Born Again |

kppo:Faith is the assured expectation of what is hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities that are not seen. For by means of it, the men of ancient times had witness borne to them. Hebrews 11:1-2 Faith is only evident through the actions of those possessing it i don't have to declare that i have faith or that i am a believer rather it's observers that should speak about me after watching how i do things in harmony with my brothers and sisters in the faith. That is why I also, since I have heard of the faith that you have in the Lord Jesus and the love that you demonstrate toward all the holy ones, Ephesians 1:15 Here it's Paul speaking of the faith that Christians in Ephesus demonstrated towards Christ's anointed brothers. Matthew 25:40 Maintain your conduct fine among the nations, so that when they accuse you of being wrongdoers, they may be eyewitnesses of your fine works and, as a result, glorify God in the day of his inspection. 1Peter 2:12 Here Peter is saying even though most people don't welcome faith in Christ and they often speak badly about us {Matthew 5:11-12} these unbelievers will see the fine works of faith among us and become convinced that we surely have something worthwhile among us! |

kppo:A believer is the one who believes that Jesus is the son of God, the Christ Faith is the evidence/substance that comes from hearing God's word Romans 10:14-17 answers this question, how can any believe a word they have not heard So if the first thing is hearing God's word, it means it is the faith, the evidence that comes from having heard that word that makes us believers, those who believe, accept and trust that Jesus Christ is Lord. Faith doesn't come to us because we believe, it comes to us because we hear God's word, while we come to believe because of the faith we now have, which expresses it's self through love. One cannot be a believer without faith. But one can have faith, be it a dead faith, and not be a believer. So we are believers because we have faith and faith doesn't need to come to you because you are a believer, for faith goes to those who are unbelievers so that they may become believers. |

None is correct, the two are not "completely" interrelated to each other. You can be religious and not having faith, and you can have faith without being religious. Those going to babalawo also having strong faith, that, the charm will work. Reason why people tie charms, believing it won't make bullets penetrate them, going out to commit crimes.

Belief is the foundation on which faith is built. You cannot have faith without believing . So technically the first option is the correct one. Belief is just a mental state of mind (e.g yes I know God has the power to heal me) while faith is you taking actual steps and actions based on your belief (actually making attempts to stand up from the wheelchair because you know that God will strengthen your legs so you don't fall) |

You are a believer and have faith for who ? :oFor something that doesn't exist ? Look let me tell you the bitter truth. God, Satan, Jesus Christ,Angels and demons, doesn't exist, There's no reliable, concretable and approvable evidence of their existence. Infact the so called heaven doesn't exist, please don't let anybody deceive you, heaven is just a figment of imagination, it's not real. |

Arda1000:how can believing without evidence be faith when faith is literally the evidence? |
| Re: Which One Is Correct? by gohf: 11:01am |
thesicilian:you are describing belief as knowledge and faith as acting upon that knowledge. But scripture shows that true faith is what results to godly action/works that reveal a person's faith. So faith in God(from God) is an evidence that prompts people to do what is right. I don't know where or who defines belief as knowledge, what you believe or becomes your belief is what you accept to be true, if you say you know something to be true it's because you have evidence that it is true. How does a person know God can heal, it is from the word of God that presents that evidence that they later come to believe. So a person cannot believe or accept first without evidence. But because there is evidence that what they want as occured already they believe it to be possible. |
| Re: Which One Is Correct? by geoworldedu: 11:07am |
Both are correct. Faith came because of believing and believing keeps you in that faith. It's a circus. |
| Re: Which One Is Correct? by gohf: 11:07am |
If you have faith because of who you are instead of having faith because God has said or what God has done then you don't have faith |

| Re: Which One Is Correct? by gohf: 11:42am |
Arda1000:because faith, the faith, is noun and used as a noun referring to a substance and existence that we should have. Such that proves that what God is saying or said is true. So faith is evidence because God made it so, as the Spirit of God is given as proof that all His promises are true. One would read by faith, through faith, have no faith, have less faith, has great faith or faith comes from God's word. Faith the means by which those who believe access God's righteousness, Romans 3:22. It's still Faith that one must have to believe and access God, Hebs 11:6 2Cor.4.13 It is written: "I believed; therefore I have spoken." With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak, (NIV) Gal.3.22 But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe. Through faith in Jesus, through evidence and substance in Jesus that we may believe and receive God's promise. Faith is the evidence that enables us to please God by making us trust in Him and approach Him. Faith is not intangible though spiritual, it exits to prove to us there is God, that He not only exits but created all there is and that His word comes to pass, it's now left for us to accept and believe. |
