Be patient dear lagosians, uncle Doherty will address all that. That's what happens when you give strangers enough to feed. He'll poo in your yard without being remorseful. It's tine we begin governing our state. It's not only oyingbo, everywhere in Lagos is littered with garbage. I pray there's no epidemics as a result of this.

LagosOrigin:
Lagos should be named the refuse dump of Africa
once you leave your house and step outside, everywhere starts smelling.

They should go and copy cities like Owerri, Calabar, Uyo, Abuja etc
Alphafarms:
As simple as refuse collection, what small countries in Africa and states in Nigeria has conquered, Lagos is still battling with it in 2026.
Someone define shame for me again?

Now is the time when you need the Commissioner for Environment to be very proactive about all the heaps of rubbish that has taken over many areas of Lagos State in recent times
Now is time to kick him out of office.

Clearly, he knows not what his job entails.

Have anyone noticed how most road divide are filled with gabbages? One thing I have noticed a few times is people bringing bandages from their homes and dumping on the major road. Sometimes, I wonder how we reason.

If he closed down the market then what happens?

Do u know hundred of thousands of people the market employed? If they remain unemployed crime goes high

Instead of u to hold government responsible. What stops government from collecting sanitation fee and use it to clean up the market on daily basis

On Saturday, while going back home from mushin, I heard one of the market men standing beside that mushin bus stop refuse dump truck saying they paid #400k to clear that place.
The market leaders should not wait for government, they should do something about it.

Some areas in Logos just going outta hand with refuse. I visited some areas and virtually every household has this heap of refuse stacked at their entrance, this lawns service should do more.

Many times it starts with us, the disposers of little waste.
You mix feaces and biodegradable wastes with non degradable. On a good day, farmers will hustle to pick up properly sorted wastes and use as manure.

HOW DO AFRICAN GOVERNMENTS SOLVE THIS WASTE DISPOSAL ISSUE?

HOW CAN THEY LEVERAGE ON IT AS A BUSINESShuh

I DON'T KNOW ANY AFRICAN CITY ESPECIALLY WEST AFRICA, THAT'S FREE FROM THIS MATTER.

THIS SHOULD BE A BIG BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY! WASTE COLLECTION, AND DISPOSAL OR RECYCLING.
