According to reports, former Niger Delta militant leader Asari Dokubo said it is his constitutional and democratic right to campaign against the emergence of Peter Obi in the 2027 elections.

He argued that politics is about persuasion and that every citizen is free to support or oppose any candidate within the law. The statement is part of his long-running criticism of Obi and the Obidient movement

Dokubo maintained that campaigning against a candidate is a legitimate democratic activity.
He has previously criticized Obi's record as governor of Anambra State and questioned his suitability for national leadership.

In recent months, Dokubo has openly supported President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and pledged to mobilize support for his 2027 re-election bid.

Don’t forget that PDP under Goodluck Jonathan empowered him. Not all of us have dementia. So Asari is a creation of PDP, not APC or Tinubu
