Where is this so called indegene? Provide his name and picture. I am not comvinced any indegene can stay with 40 People in the bush for almost 2 months.

If he knows where they were moved to ... why not say? ... or shut up? Say the location and citizens will immediately converge in the location ... leaving no room for cover up ... or shift them somewhere else. By saying what he said ... the captors will move them to another location. No doubt ... higher ups are somehow involved in this kidnapping... Sowore spoke... he's locked away... silenced..... let's hope he. doesn't suddenly decide to ehmmm .... commit suicide.

Real activism is measured by outcomes. Performative activism is measured by attention.

Real activists focus on victims. Performative activists focus on themselves.

This is where the style of Omoyele Sowore deserves critical examination.

No one can deny that Sowore has consistently projected himself as an activist. But after decades of outrage, protests and revolutionary rhetoric, one must ask: what institutional gains, policy victories or sustainable movements has all the noise produced?

Increasingly, his activism appears trapped in a cycle of perpetual outrage, media spectacles and internet applause.

Every issue becomes a stage.

Every tragedy becomes content.

Every disagreement becomes a revolution.

The objective seems less about persuasion and more about performance.

Indeed, outrage itself has become the product.

That is the danger of performative activism.

It creates followers, not institutions.

It rewards grandstanding, not strategy.

It monetises anger but rarely converts it into lasting change.

The activist becomes the story, while the victims fade into the background.

History shows that serious reforms are achieved through organisation, coalition-building, legal challenges, advocacy and patient political engagement—not endless live streams and revolutionary catchphrases.

Nigeria needs courageous voices.

But courage without discipline becomes theatre.
