There are words people erroneously use interchangeably, but there are clear distinctions between them.

Today, we are looking at FOREST and JUNGLE.

Is there any difference between a forest and a jungle? Yes, there are differences.

Jungle is actually a type of forest. While a forest is a broad term for any large area covered in trees (found in all climates). A jungle is a specific, tangled, and overgrown region typically found in the tropics, where thick undergrowth often makes the area impassable.

1. Vegetation Density: Forests have organized tree structures and are generally easy to walk through. Jungles are dense tangles of vines, shrubs, and trees where ground-level vegetation is often impenetrable without machetes.

2. Sunlight: Forests often have dense canopies that allow for shaded, clear forest floors. In a jungle, the thick chaotic ground growth results from sunlight penetrating at the edges or through gaps, causing lush undergrowth.

3. Climate: Forests exist in virtually any climate—from temperate pine forests in Canada to boreal forests in Siberia. Jungles are almost exclusively warm, humid, and tropical.

4. Geography: Forests are large regions that can cover massive swaths of the globe. Jungles are usually smaller ecosystems situated on the outer margins or edges of tropical rainforests.

I hope say you dor learn one or two today.

Keep learning and keep growing. The mind that learns is the mind that grows.

I don't know the difference but I know an example of a country that is a perfect description of a jungle - it's in West Africa
Re: The Difference Between A Forest And A Jungle (Photos) by bewisemasses: 11:05am On Jun 23
I have 18 reasons to call Nigeria a jungle.
Coming up

‎1. There's no country Nigerians are that u wudn't find a Nigerian in its jail
‎2. Moving abroad is one of the top three career prospects of many Nigerian youths but very few foreigners want to come to Nigeria as a dream
‎3. Our police stations and police residence look like pig sty, same goes for our students lodges in fed unis
‎4. Corruption is no longer frowned upon in Nigeria, infact it is praised. Corrupt people like d CEO of Ng are celebrated
‎5. The Nigerian people themselves do not elect decent people, they elect cri.minals.
‎6. Ninety percent of public officials in Nigeria and fantastically corrupt but not even 0.5% r in prison
‎7. Nigerians settle simple disputes and disagreements by screaming and fighting; even in the legislature. 7 out of 10 Nigerians have fought in public.
‎8. Even police and military men fight in public and are not left out
‎9. Almost every building in Nigeria has a generator and some have more than one
‎10. Nigerian motorists communicate and drive with their horns, hardly brains.
‎10b. Noise pollution from generators and horns all day long is enough to make the average Nigerian abnormal and psychotic
‎11. In Nigeria, the pastors,  lawyers, and even thepresi.denc. y from top to bottom is corrupt.
‎12. In Nigeria, U can take explosives thru d Nigerian border and just bribe d officials and walla, u r freely roaming in Nigeria
‎N.B these things look normal to us but to others, they r terribly abnormal and sub.hum..an in sane societies.
‎13. U can bribe ur way to get u d good grades in Nigeria. Success has been redefined in Nigeria as money induced, not hard work induced
‎14. Ngerians Bribe higher institutions to give them admission
‎15. They bribe passport officials to create new identities for them and delete ur name from d system
‎16. You can pay the police to arrest someone who annoys u and punctures ur ego a little
‎In fact, Nigeria is d complete and perfect description of a shit.hol..e and jungle

That is why Africa has remained in the dark because majority of the people are narrow-minded and find it difficult to learn. Your Geography teacher in school would be ashamed of you.

Obviously they stay in the forest. Nobody can stay in the jungle that's impassable.

I see.

So where are the tik-tok videos coming from....
Where a whole battalion of captives can be hidden for months without detection.
Where a group of renegades are operating a defacto government. Is that where 'only animals live'....

Pray that Nigeria doesn't reach the Escobar levels where a whole country was built in the jungle and completely out of bounds to government for years until the man decided to interfere with his 'neighbouring' country....that is a Colombia within a Colombia.

Sambisa for example is a Sahel savannah vegetation, not a forest, it has thick shrubs and sparsely populated trees.
Some 'I too sabi' Minister said that the forest is too thick to airaid.🤣🤣😞😞

Does it mean a lion can stay in a jungle but can’t stay in a forest?
