Lol, Spain that didn't make it to the second round when Ronaldo scored them hattrick? grin
E be like person wey score Italy hattrick right now. Italy that didn't make it to the world cup?

Hahahaha, so bcus Spain didn't make it out of group stage means they're not a footballing country?
Germany won the world cup in 2014 and exited the group stage in 2018 and 2022, does that make them not a footballing nation.
Your argument is wack

If Messi should have scored Germany in those times, I would still have counted it as nonsense. Why will Messi be capitalising on the weaknesses of the falling giants to score goals and then count it as superb. Messi won't even stoop so low. He likes to deliver it when they are hot. He scored France in Final, two goals, Netherlands in Q/F, Croatia in Q/F. Check out those stats. He even did more goals in the knockout stages than in first round, unlike your football goat with no single goal in any knockout stages and with people in 100, 60, etc in FIFA ranking. Messi did it when France was number 1 in FIFA ranking and Croatia was number 4. That's obvious enough. grin

Until he wins the world cup he's no where near a goat. Those competing for goat are Messi, Pele and Maradona. If Ronaldo wins the world cup he'll join that league.
U can't be the greatest without a world cup bro

That Spain didn't qualify to second round, same as that Morocco. They both didn't qualify to second round the year Ronaldo scored them. They were in their weakest forms when Ronaldo scored them. Messi scored Holland, Holland again Croatia, France when they were all in the Q/Final, Semi Final, Semi Final and Final respectively. That's class.

If you understand soccer that second goal was not easy

This man used a very difficult technique to score that goal

Both goals were fantastic and world class.

Dbull on this one!

Still doesn’t make him anywhere near Messi
Maybe not.
But when it comes to team playing, CR7 is thousands of miles ahead.
So far in this competition, Argentina and Portugal have scored 5 goals and 6 goals respectively.
All five goals for Argentina were scored by only one player - Messi; but the six goals for Portugal were scored by 5 different players!
Isn't that concerning for Argentina?
Doesn't that speak volume about Ronaldo's team influence and Messi's lack of it?

975 career goals for both his country and clubs.

Please throw away this idea. Messi works hard as well and they are both talented. Talent without hard work only leaves one with rough edges. Hard work smoothens the edges and give that near-perfect output.

Why are you guys always trigger when they call him the goat.
You have your own goat and another person has his own, what then is the fuss?

Tapins from a palmwine tapper. grin grin grin
You know the truth. He sha don score. E pele

Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal got back to winning ways after a drab draw with the DR Congo in their opener. CR7 announced himself in the sixth minute against Uzbekistan with a sublime Ronaldo-esque finish after a pass from Bruno Fernandes

CR7 got his second via a through-pass in a 5-0 rout against the World Cup debutants, becoming the first player to score in six World Cups and the second oldest player to do so at the Mundial....

After the game .... Ronaldo looked into the cameras, "I am back, I am back"

When asked why he said that:
He responded: "“Yes, so people do NOT forget”.

Ronaldo's reaction: "God helps those who work hard. I knew my teammates would help out too. It was a difficult week, a dark week. It felt like I'd retired from soccer. But I hung in there, as I always do, because I believe in hard work more than anything else.

It was tough, I have to admit, but we're back.

"We've improved; that's just how life is. We face setbacks during games and in life, but the main goal is always to improve. And that's what we did. It was a very tough and difficult week, with public opinion being very harsh on all the players, especially on me and the coach.

"But I don't mind. I've been in this profession for 23 years now, and whenever things go well, Cristiano is doing great, but when they go badly, Cristiano is retired, he's too old. It will always be like that.

"But we responded well today. That's what we wanted. We played with a high line, and when we do that, it's hard to stop Portugal."

Ronaldo has now scored 975 goals for club and country!
Why does he like using "I" and not "We" ? Very Selfish player. He prefers to score and lose a match than, win and not score. Messi remains the greatest. Coming from a diehard Man Utd fan of decades.....

You can only talk about Ronaldo's influence if his goals + assists for Portugal is five or above. He hasn't made any assist, so how do you want to compare him with Messi who has five goals and no assist also?

Alternatively, we can say that Messi carried the team completely. Remove Messi's goals, then Argentina will be at 2 points with no goal at all. Remove Ronaldo's goals, then we can say that Portugal will be at 4 points with 4 goals. Who is then carrying the team? huh

Imitate Messi how. He should imitate that pretender called Messi that wants everything for himself but pretend to be humble.
Messi that select coaches and players that will play with him.
Messi that the whole Argentine players are single handedly working for.
.
Why is there no other goalscorer for Argentina apart from Messi. The second goal against Austria, the player that gave him the pass have every right to score himself, but nope it got to be Messi.
See Ronaldo doesn't pretend and say his mind the way it's.
You want him to emulate or imitate a snake and pretender like Messi.
I can bet that you didn't watch Argentina's last two game.

You certainly haven't played football.

Mugu! He scored against Spain in the last nations league final. He scored Hat trick against Spain during 2018 world cup. Say another something else.
JoeEeL:
Against Uzbekistan? This is cannon fodder, just like the Faroe Islands, San Marino, Luxembourg type shii.

Oga rest. Stat-padding at its finest. This is what you've been doing for the past 6 years. Score against cannon fodder bottom feeders and paint a false image of a champ, but disappear when reasonable teams face you.

Argentine fa for over 5 years now is only interested in playing friendlies with countries outside the top 100 in fifa ranking... So Messi can continue to pad stats in the international stage. But that's not a problem for you. No worry you and your A.T.U.R.U of all time go cry taya this year.
