Dear Uncle Seun, Nairaland has become the biggest forum in Africa not by accident. It grew because thousands of us show up daily to post, debate, drop threads, share news, and keep the place alive. Every trending thread, every front page discussion, every viral topic is user content.

Right now Facebook, X, TikTok, opera news and even smaller forums are paying creators for engagement. People are earning from the content they make. Nairaland is still pulling millions of pageviews monthly, but the people doing the actual work here get nothing. That’s not sustainable.

We’re not asking for charity. We’re asking for a revenue share. Start a creator fund, ad revenue split, or monetization for high traffic threads. Even a small token will show respect for the people building this platform with you.

You built Nairaland. We built its value. Time to start paying content people.

I believe the guy created just the site for fun, not for serious purpose because he does not have the balls to do so, he does not know the site will become big like this, I don't think he has the balls to upgrade it to the point of monetization , the only upgrade he could do is putting like and share button, and changing the theme to light and dark mode, no significant change in more than 15 years, since it was built

Even Facebook started as a school hostel stuff until it turn into a global phenomen

Nairaland has come of stage to welcome more growth and engagement

There's need to monetization so that more talents will come on board

It's a win win for all

Still the same thing, there is need for monetization, but I dont think he has what it takes to start it or else it might crash

Monetizing Nairaland will definitely make the forum to be more exciting.

Alot of sensible contents and threads will definitely be coming up ,cuz by then people will want to invent interesting topics that'll hit the front page so as to earn something's from it.

The man has all it takes , he only need to be more liberal , just give tech guys opportunities and the rest will be history

I believe he'll make more from it, it will do more meaningful ads, and of course modernize the platform, his some house look archive, check the type of quora and the likes

Another part is to give the people that devoted their strength and time in building this an opportunity to make living somehow
