A High Court sitting in Sokoto State has sentenced three men, including a foreign national, to death by hanging, following their conviction on charges bordering on terrorism and arms proliferation.

Justice Bello found all three defendants guilty as charged and sentenced them to death by hanging. The court also ordered the forfeiture of all monetary exhibits recovered from the convicts to the Federal Government.

The convicts, Yusuf Muhammad (alias Sallau), a Nigerien; Jabbi Alhaji Yalle; and Kabiru Muhammad, were apprehended on 13th June, 2025, by the Department of State Services (DSS) Counter Terrorism Unit in connection with cross-border criminal activities bordering on arms trafficking and terrorism.

This is a good judgement.

My only unhappyness with the judiciary is when Justice Omotosho refused to give death by hanging to the criminal and terrorists called Nnamdi Kanu

This is a serious indication that Justice Omotosho failed massively by not giving the death penalty to Nnamdi Kanu

Believe this and become a 'mumu general '. Who's that judge that will make such pronouncement in sokoto, there must sth behind it.

This is very commendable, I don't see why our lawmakers have not enacted death penalty for terrorism .. No waste time as judgement dey drop execute those animals asap

High court judgement not the supreme court.Whichever way, will the state governor grant the execution order? because most of the time the governors dissociated themselves from this order.
