I have a hard time grasping how people are willing to transfer hundreds of thousands of dollars to someone they met online... Wow. I actually had to check if this story is real, and it is. Well, I guess the warnings should go up everywhere with so many gullible people. My guess is that some of these victims are extremely naive and possibly at rock-bottom in their lives.

It's natural human greed that initially draws them in, the promise of something for nothing, once you have been hooked, forget it.

I saw a program on romance fraud on the BBC website once, the guys behind it don't play, they are using the latest technology and are so persistent. Even Proffesors of psychology don't have the tools these yahoo guys seem to have in abundance.

Since the day I watched that program, my opinion on victims has shifted, yes dere longer throat factor still dey but they need pity too.
