Bimmarlykay:It's the ultimate paradox. The most information at their disposal and yet the most ignorant. How can someone boldly repeat that Ronaldinho never scored past the round of 16 when even if you didn't watch the match you can easily Google it. We are talking 20 years ago events. Imagine someone telling us to go and check on YouTube games we sat and watched live from start to finish ![]() How can indomie generation know that Ronaldinho resurrected Barcelona ![]() |

A40:One Gen Z kid was forming he watched Arsenal's 2004 Invincibles run and knew everything that went down(i guess YT decieved him). I immediately told him to list the starting lineup, you need to see the embarrassment on his face! He was just scrambling, jumping from Henry to Ozil to Fabregas. 😂That's the difference between us. We watched Ronaldo Nazario and Ronaldinho Gaúcho live. We witnessed the aura and intensity firsthand. No Gen Z kid pulling up a YouTube compilation can tell me nada. Their entire football experience or closest to it is YT/Wikipedia. Look at Ramos just testing the waters by doing dark arts on Salah💀,something Messi ate every season and the whole of Egypt had to threaten him. Just imagine what prime Ramos, Pepe, Gattuso or Roy Keane would do if they caught Mbappé, Yamal or Dembele trying to form skillful in front of them.😁 |

Bimmarlykay:the thing is that this is a common knowledge…. Yamal and Mbappe with their squad can’t survive what Messi went through in laliga during his early days talk more of all other old folks….now wey be say ordinary shading will result to penalty. Nobody dy shoot long range shot now.. Free kick….the same thing. Dribbling….Zero |

Nemesis0147:Na why most people fail in school, the permutations and calculations are very simple but a dullard issa dullard any which way you look at it. Imagine a WC with cooling/hydration break every Eke market day. I won't even talk about that dreaded VAR and toy-like whistling, see some tourneys scrapping extra time for straight to penalties, soft life, who dash monkey banana. The UCL now has more useless games, if Guirassy stat pads they'll say he's better than Nazario tomorrow. ![]() |

Bimmarlykay:I asked you to name a player other than Harry Kane who scored more goals than Ronaldo at the 2018 World Cup, and you couldn't yet somehow that is your definition of schooling someone and an evidence of your massive football knowledge. The funniest part is that you genuinely think you have done something there. Seriously how old are you? ![]() |

Leyqute: To be fair while he mastered snake bite it was invented by Rivellino's academy teammate Sergio Echigo and Rivelino perfected the technique and then introduced it to the world. R9's issue is similar to Michael Jordan who was already in GOAT debates based on eye test and individual performance even before he went on his double 3-peat. Before 1998 World Cup the consensus was that R9 was one of the GOAT contenders just based on 3 years of individual football. You had to be there. |

I still wish R9 left Barca for RM… Serie A was hellhole back then. Dude played in the era when tackling from behind was allowed and the brutal physicality of Serie A cost him a lot . His peak is the highest in football probably tied with Pele & Maradona’s peaks. After injury, he was still above the rest. That is what makes R9 so special. That’s my 🐐

If you did not watch football in the 1990s, you cannot know Ronaldo Nazario Indomie generation can only make assumptions based on catching the second part of his career as fat Ronaldo in the 2000s Ronaldo before his 1999 injury was a GOAT Ronaldo after his comeback in 2002 was a Henry level player He sat down from 1999 to 2002 with an exploded kneecap. Returned in 2002 after 3 years out and scored 8 World Cup goals to win the golden boot. As in, he returned from 3 years sickbed straight to the World Cup and smashed it. He trained by himself in Brazil to get in physical shape for that World Cup and having climbed that mental and physical mountain and conquered it, he immediately relaxed and let himself go physically, turning up to Real Madrid that summer as fat Ronaldo and that second half of his career is what clouds his legacy |

Korea are about to suffer back to back WC losses to African teams. In 2022, they lost to Ghana in the group stage |

South Africa to face Canada. They can win that one |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Lana1(m): 4:01am On Jun 25 |
We all hoped South Africa would get booted out. But they get to finish 2nd. Those that thought they didn't deserve to be there can bite their tongue. If you want to be at the world cup then qualify for it. Nothing like "they for allow us" or "that team don't deserve to be here" |

Anyone who lived in Nigeria throughout the 90s and early 2000s and claims they watched even 30% of the full 90 minute matches Ronaldo played during that period is simply a fat liar. 30% is even a generous number. |

Joezinho:This line keeps getting repeated but it doesn't hold up to scrutiny. Other strikers and great players were also playing in that hellhole of serie A and doing quite well. Baggio a great player played in that same league and was magnificent for a long time same with Zidane and a host of other stars like Bierhoff, Crespo, Batistuta one of my favorite striker of all time and even lesser known players. So what you are basically saying is that Ronaldo couldn't cut it in the strongest league at the time and he should have stayed in an easier league like La Liga. |
