OGUN BECOMES OIL-PRODUCING STATE AS NNPCL BEGINS EBA WELL DRILLING

Ogun State has joined Nigeria’s list of oil-producing states following the commencement of drilling operations at the Eba oil well in Ogun Waterside Local Government Area. The project, which received federal approval, is being led by NNPCL in partnership with regulatory and security agencies as preparations begin for commercial production.

Governor Dapo Abiodun described the development as a landmark achievement for the state, saying the project is expected to create jobs, attract investment and boost economic activities in coastal communities. Authorities say the Eba well forms part of efforts to expand Nigeria’s oil production beyond the Niger Delta, with security, environmental protection and host community engagement remaining key priorities.

The same way they tried to force Lagos into that list of oil producing state with her one lucozade bottle a week oil producing capacity? Lots of mago-mago going on in this country. We need an independent body to verify the real quantity of oil being produced by each state . This is very important because as it stands today, folks are using their connections to federal power to juggle numbers and inflate data on sundry issues.
