PotatoSalad:Invest in human capital development, what investment do you need in human capital that Nigerians aren't already doing, nelfund, technical education with allowances for students, some gives are improving on educational infrastructure and you are here spewing nonsense about human capital development, nigeria has the fastest growing fintech space in the world as we speak,is it ghosts that are working on these things even you mentioning road construction and unemployment in same breath,is it ghosts that are working on those road projects and are they not being paid? Your people may be dieing due to ignorance and lack of motivation due to hate to seize opportunities that abound, even in nairaland alone,no day passes without posts being made for jobs but you are blind to all these and crying human development, you for tell tinubu say make he pack all of us enta school, make we go back go school go develop nah |

| Re: Progress Update On The Calabar Section Of Lagos - Calabar Coastal Highway by amaridigital(m): 5:30pm On Jun 25 |
PotatoSalad:It's amazing how some people who hailed the man who led grandparents to an unreasonable civil war where 3 million perished just remember suddenly that people are dying in 2026. They won't criticize the man who led 3 million to death never. They won't blame the hooligan who caused several deaths in their region in recent years but currently serving life term imprisonment in Sokoto. HYPOCRITES!!! |

PotatoSalad:Dont you know road access is part of what creates jobs? So you think job creation by govt is to physically create the jobs by setting up factories, employing people into ministries, etc? No! Govt create jobs by creating an enabling environment for investors and entrepreneurs to go in. An example of this is this Coastal highway. It will create massive jobs. |

Okoyeeboz:So electricity will not benefit the south-south? You yoruba APC data boys should stop thinking we are dumb by bring us into the hate you have for Igbo. Igbo is not our issue, Igbo dey stay their lane while we stay on our- mutual respect. Agip used to employ hundreds of NigerDeltans, but since your master bought it they have sacked all the nigerdelta & igbo people and replace them with yorubas. You people will soon learn |
| Re: Progress Update On The Calabar Section Of Lagos - Calabar Coastal Highway by Nefort: 5:33pm On Jun 25 |
Okoyeeboz:Please don't even compare second Nigeria bridge with this irrelevant project. The first bridge was the only way to cross over the western region of Nigeria from the east and vice versa. The bridge was usually stressed with heavy traffic before the second bridge was built. If anything happens to the first bridge then there would be no other means to easily move between east and west. So it's an important project. The cost of the bridge is also nothing compared with the cost of this coastal highway. |
| Re: Progress Update On The Calabar Section Of Lagos - Calabar Coastal Highway by Basic123: 5:34pm On Jun 25 |
amaridigital:They didnt even remember there was no electricity when they were begging GEJ to build second Naija bridge in southeast before buhari/Fashola eventually built it for them. |

| Re: Progress Update On The Calabar Section Of Lagos - Calabar Coastal Highway by ArcSEMPECJ(m): 5:36pm On Jun 25 |
heysquare:Power has been deregulated the same way subsidy was removed on the first day of mounting a stage in eagle square without making consultations , without having ministers , without having Special advicers etc ?If you go and ask the Governors now , they will laugh and tell you where is the money ? Where are the plans laid down before deregulation down to Governors or you just push away responsibilities and because you have majority of APC Governors , the truth will be hidden .... This Government has achieved only two things as their policies ...... 1. Propaganda 2. Lies... |
| Re: Progress Update On The Calabar Section Of Lagos - Calabar Coastal Highway by MemoriesAndMe: 5:39pm On Jun 25 |
Nefort:But the food you eat have to go through the roads - transportation is important to every economy. It just needs to be balanced with other areas like security, healthcare and power that you mentioned etc. I guess some of these politicians like to rate themselves based on how many roads they built, power is equally important. |
| Re: Progress Update On The Calabar Section Of Lagos - Calabar Coastal Highway by Lithiumite: 5:39pm On Jun 25 |
43Ronin:Are you ready to pay for that power if delivered,if the market was so buoyant, investments would readily go into that sector to provide the electricity,if RoI is guaranteed optimal capacity will be delivered......gencos generate 13k mw already but your discos take only about a third of that,is it tinubu that should come build that capacity for them when they are privately owned.... Your state gov now has the power to establish electricity market in your state,go ask him what he has done in that regard.....leave tinubu alone to concentrate on other things. |

Good things should be commended but this FG needs to let ordinary Nigerians feel its impact in term of their wellbeing. |
| Re: Progress Update On The Calabar Section Of Lagos - Calabar Coastal Highway by Lithiumite: 5:43pm On Jun 25 |
malali:If fuel is 5k a liter,if your economy is productive enough it will absolve it,do you want tinubu to bring back subsidy so you can keep driving 3,4,5 landcruisers at a time or so your reach can keep their 4 car convoys at the expense of govt,we have turned that corner bruv,if you are productive enough, fuel prices wouldn't be your problem as you mark up will conveniently cover that |
| Re: Progress Update On The Calabar Section Of Lagos - Calabar Coastal Highway by Lithiumite: 5:46pm On Jun 25 |
Obaofaba:The fools don't even know that cost of the highway is a rolling one that will take 4 years to complete.......china built roads first to be able to move their revolutionary industrial output from factories to markets, roads bring development faster than any other infrastructure. |
| Re: Progress Update On The Calabar Section Of Lagos - Calabar Coastal Highway by Nefort: 5:47pm On Jun 25 |
MemoriesAndMe:The food we eat comes from the north. Unless you are referring to beverages and snacks that are mainly produced in the west. Nobody is currently complaining about any difficulty to move goods between the west and east. So why do we need to spend billions on the coastal highway? |
| Re: Progress Update On The Calabar Section Of Lagos - Calabar Coastal Highway by ArcSEMPECJ(m): 5:49pm On Jun 25 |
DomPerignon:I will surely use it but I will employ you as my bodyguard then gather some Amotekun although they have become weak and lazy due to politics of their lord and personal saviour....I meant he who said, if you say they are Fulanis , where are their cows ?Moreover , If you viewed the video from that clip , tell me how many cars passed that road as from the time that lady was trying to stretch where it started and ended..... The problem with you people is that you fail to understand what we call scale of preferences..... Jumping to build a coastal road when the ones we have is full of bandits and kidnappers with terrorists who according to one Senator , has become bigger than all the forces in Nigeria , to me it seems fishy , that project is not ordinary, something is going on there.... |
