Dont you know road access is part of what creates jobs? So you think job creation by govt is to physically create the jobs by setting up factories, employing people into ministries, etc? No! Govt create jobs by creating an enabling environment for investors and entrepreneurs to go in.

An example of this is this Coastal highway. It will create massive jobs.

Please don't even compare second Nigeria bridge with this irrelevant project. The first bridge was the only way to cross over the western region of Nigeria from the east and vice versa. The bridge was usually stressed with heavy traffic before the second bridge was built. If anything happens to the first bridge then there would be no other means to easily move between east and west. So it's an important project. The cost of the bridge is also nothing compared with the cost of this coastal highway.

But the food you eat have to go through the roads - transportation is important to every economy. It just needs to be balanced with other areas like security, healthcare and power that you mentioned etc.

I guess some of these politicians like to rate themselves based on how many roads they built, power is equally important.

Are you ready to pay for that power if delivered,if the market was so buoyant, investments would readily go into that sector to provide the electricity,if RoI is guaranteed optimal capacity will be delivered......gencos generate 13k mw already but your discos take only about a third of that,is it tinubu that should come build that capacity for them when they are privately owned.... Your state gov now has the power to establish electricity market in your state,go ask him what he has done in that regard.....leave tinubu alone to concentrate on other things.

The food we eat comes from the north. Unless you are referring to beverages and snacks that are mainly produced in the west. Nobody is currently complaining about any difficulty to move goods between the west and east. So why do we need to spend billions on the coastal highway?
