I totally agree with him. People are misbehaving online just to gain followers or validation. |

WhiteIverson:Feel free to have your opinions on anybody but this is exactly the kind of olodo behaviour he's talking about. Complete inability to engage with the subject matter, immediately looking to make jest out of a serious topic for likes and shares. You are still young enough to pull yourself out of the olodo pit. Wish you the best in your efforts to do so! |

Why won't there be an olodo uprising... when we have professors and Drs. rigging elections for stack illiterates to rule them....then these so-called educated ones go back to the agberos to beg for small appointments...That's why you hear crazy slogans like " education is a scam" ..."no he by to go school" etc. Naija has a long way to go. I posted this same video yesterday. The Olodo Uprising currently in Nigeria is alarming. Attention-seeking being the new currency has made us lose our core values and ethics. |
| Re: The Olodo Uprising Is Terrible - Rapper Ycee by SmartyPants(m): 6:11am On Jun 26 |
femi4:Most rappers intelligent indeed. By their lyrics we can tell the intelligent ones and they are less than 5: MI Abaga, by the far the most intelligent and others like him such as Modenine, Eldee, Vector, Jesse Jags, etc. Ycee does not belong to that category and even watching him on that podcast yesterday with his pants sagging I said to myself he is only a little better than those he's criticising. Ycee appears to me the same way Peller appears to him. So if that's your own standard of intelligence....lol! |

thomas2024:Tell me one of Ycee's songs that really impressed you with the intelligence on display. It would be nice if you can also highlight some of the intelligent lyrics from the song. |

Chilota2:From your comment, I can actually tell the level of your reasoning. I am sure you are among the category of people YC is talking about. |
| Re: The Olodo Uprising Is Terrible - Rapper Ycee by hush15: 6:20am On Jun 26 |
Chilota2:You are one of the oldest he is talking about else, you will understand his message not attack the messenger. Sorry, no be say I yab you but cant you see the point. An Olodo will always attack the messenger rather than than pay attention to the message. That is the in thing in Nigeria now subtly. Nothing is constructive anymore. An Olodo is always defending even when there is nothing to defend. An olodo will always engage in counter arguments even when the facts are vivid as daylight. We celebrate mediocrity too much in Nigeria. Infact, mediocrity is Nigerians way of life because everybody is compromised. Everybody thinking of their belly, from presidency to students. Honestly, the Nigerian mind is the Nigerian problem. |

This shift in paradigm is not only affecting Nigerians, it also on the global stage. The social media era, everyone is an authority. We don't scrutinise information any longer. So people wants to trend. |

Finally, someone is seeing the damage done to educational sector. They know once they kill education, there will be fewer people to ask real questions. |

The rapper is absolutely right The olodo system has really overwhelmed us I work in the education sector, so I see it everyday The JAMB cut-off for admission continues to drop every year by year so that more and more olodos can find their ways into the university Imagine a situation where more than 85% of the students who call themselves ''final year'' students cannot confidently write a formal letter Imagine a situation where students resort to using their phones during an exam, immediately the question papers have been shared. As in without those phones, so many of the so called students cannot even write anything in such exams? That's quite appalling These so called students do not have the mental capacity anymore to reason on their own What exactly do you call that? Olodo nation! |
