I have to agree. Oh by the way, I have no issues with visa charges. I do feel though that the whole or at least part should be refunded to rejected applicants. Personally I have no further interest in visiting the USA ever again in my life save its necessary for business.

There is the principle of reciprocity in foreign relations. Nigeria has the right to reciprocate. If the Americans refund for rejected applications, Nigeria is obliged to return the favour. However, with the huge traffic of Nigerians to various embassies, how should we not expect such exploitation? Even our leaders beg and scramble to go to America. Do you not see how daily they boast about their visits? Our governors leave their states to attend meetings in London and so tay Rwanda, in the name of retreats. Are there no places in the entire length and breath of our nation for such retreats. So tay, wives of legislators and wives local government officials. Is it not pure madness? How can our nation not be so abused?

Anybody whose visa application is rejected should have their money refunded just like Japan does it, otherwise that is racketeering.

A particular country got applications from 200,000 Nigerians and they approved only 20,000 now if you look at the fees generated from the rejected ones you will discover it is a complete rip-off and it should not be allowed.

I had to pay through my nose in getting a quick date for interview and the amount was more like this new official rate they are bringing.
