Who will give such power to the governors that some of them are seeking a reelection or going to Senate. Expensive mistake that must be avoided by all means With the current Nigeria structure, state policing would rather complicate the insecurity. The passage of the bill is just to shut some noise down not that it would be effective or implemented anytime soon |

On the contrary, State Police is the solution we need. In fact, we should have had State Police all these while if not for power tussle and quest for "winner takes all" at the centre. I'd rather support State policing to have a sense of safety than allow terrorists to continue killing unchallenged. Do you even know the distance between Borno and Oyo State?. Aren't you worried that the Boko haram terrorists moved undetected all the way from Borno into Oyo, Ogun, Lagos?. Shouldn't that tell you that the security architecture of the country needs new strategy? What exactly is your problem with State Governors having control of the Police in their State?. In saner climes, the Governors are even more active and hold authority in their States. Why exactly are you jittery? |

helinues:How many opposition have they used Amotekun to oppressed in the South West. As it is currently, we already have something along the State Police, virtually all the State in the Federation has one specialized security arrangement, you could even call them Vigilante. So stop the worries. We can't keep doing the same thing sach time. Before, it used to be Local Government Police. With what Governors are collecting, and the potentials in IGR, State government must re-priotize and focus on what is important |

They are only Aligning with Asiwaju It's because the insecurity has gotten worse that they are now rushing it now You should go and do your research well |
