"We wish to state unequivocally that the university is taking the matter with the utmost seriousness and has commenced a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident,” the statement read partly== SAKAMAJE. All thanks to olwuole and Baba sope politics. They vowed never to revolutionise Nigeria hospital thereby causing brain drain to our doctor. Vengeance must meet them and their supporter. |

Reminds me of my terrible experience in the university. I had a serious bout of malaria then and I struggled to get to the university clinic only to be told by two nonchalant nurses discussing that the the doctor was not on seat when the the hospital was supposed to still be open. They didn't even sympathize and just continued with their discussions seeing clearly I was dying and barely managed to get to the hospital. I vowed that I would never return to that place till I graduated and by God's grace I never did. Most of our health care officers have the heart of animals. |

Nigeria is seriously rotten with stench oozing to the high Heavens. How on earth does a university medical facility lack the equipment to treat her students? If you check very well, millions of Naira must have been budgeted to that sector and somebody somewhere embezzled it. Without strong institutions to prosecute corrupt officials, we will never get it right in this country. I'm deeply hurt by this! A life was lost just like that! Life wey no get duplicate? |

Nwaiyoo:Everything is not about village people. She could have an heart attack or something. With a good health system in place, reasonable amount of Nigerians will still be alive today. |

How would she be attended to at the University medical Centre when they had already closed by 6pm? |

nlfpmod:Her unforgettable experience was the day she was rushed to the clinic... Unfortunately that's the unforgettable experience of her classmates, loved ones and family members. It became her final experience. May her soul rest in peace but if she supported Tinubu then she should wander relentlessly all the days of her spiritual life. |

Not to sound insensitive but those that took her there are absolute idiots. The way 'students' think sometimes is mind boggling. Most of you must have been to that clinic before and seen with your eyes how useless it is. Yet you took someone in critical condition there, how does that make any sense? To the school, why in God's name should a medical centre have a closing time, especially in a school environment? At least there should be a nurse or 2 around to administer first aid and stabilize the patient first before you'll decide the next step. This has nothing to do with Adeleke, the whole faults falls on the VC. That's your damn job, to make sure all facilities in the school are in working order. News like this are just annoying. This is a death that could have been prevented. A candle that was put out too early, a family put in mourning unnecessarily... All for what? Because everyone that should have done better were absolute idiots. |

Chai! Such a time to die. It was just unfortunate, Uiniosun is still one of the best state owned university there's in Nigeria. |
| Re: Grace Osunlakin, UNIOSUN Student's Death Sparks Outrage by delpee(f): 10:22pm On Jun 26 |
They should have taken her to any other functional clinic or hospital in town. |
| Re: Grace Osunlakin, UNIOSUN Student's Death Sparks Outrage by delpee(f): 10:23pm On Jun 26 |
Very sad indeed. They should have taken her to any other functional clinic or hospital in town since they were aware that the clinic closes by 6pm. I remember though, that the health centre in my university days was open 24/7. People can fall ill at anytime. The Osun State University owns the Alakija built and well equipped teaching hospital. Shouldn't the students have access to that? May her soul rest in peace. |

delpee:Knowing how Nigeria functions, it won't be surprising to find out only the VC and other senior lecturers, and folks from the private sector are allowed to make use of the ultra modern hospital donated by Mrs. Alalakija. |

This student was asthmatic as she supposed to be given close monitoring by the school management because they were aware of her health condition. Rest in peace!. I believe the school was neglect. |

I have heard terrible things about Adeleke and his governance of Osun state. It comes to me as a surprise, being that these tales are from the indigenes themselves and not here say. I had high expectations of this man. |

If those students are privy of the millions the institution budget and release for drugs and other clinical instruments every academic session and that's all they could see physically in one shelve, they will burn down the school completely! |

This is what is also obtainable at our unis, federal university of oye ekiti is even worse . All our universities both federal ,state and private lack basic materials and amenities needed to deliver good medical service and this is a looming danger ,I expected that Nigerian university commission and efcc are supposed to roll into action before now making sure that funds are allocated appropriately and the fund are used judiciously |
