A large python invaded a man's red Honda EOD this morning in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State. People gathered around the vehicle as a man tries to drag the snake out.

The snake refused to come out, using its upper body to hang on to a structure inside the engine, until it was suggested that they pour fuel on the car's engine.

The snake was most likely drawn to the engine's lingering warmth, making it the perfect spot to rest and regulate its body temperature.

i remember visiting igbo ukwu in anambra state, about 30 mins from nkpor. see ball python plenty and living with human beings freely and peacefully.pythons aren't venomous.this one in this pic should be same kind as those ones from idemili, in anambra

The snake might dislocate some of the car components. If not, they should have left the innocent, non-venomous snake alone. I remember service year then. A friend in Enugu was constantly complaining of having snakes as neighbors while me in Jigawa was constantly complaining of hot sun.

It's like the car owner is not a snake eater if not we will see the post topic as "See the python I caught today" and instead of showing us where it was caught, we will be seeing pictures of pot and snake pepper soup already.

Eke idemili snaking into obscure places was a normal and frequent recurring scenes in Achebe's ogidi during my formative years... And boy the eke is a funny creature... Always found in cold places during hot season and vice versa. Yeah I know it's biology.

2012 I was working in this town, on a particular day one of these python spent the whole day playing on the cement packed in the shed....time to time I went to have "chats" with it...following day it was nowhere to be found....

Once you don't kill a certain animals in your community for a long number of years they feel comfortable within the environment.


If you doubt me ask yourself why do pigeons gather in some places and don't fly away when they come in contact with people and in some other locations they do fly away.

This should explain why some snakes live in some communities, by the time they starts killing it, trust me you won't be seeing them easily again

am talking about an experience i had 8n 2018 in anambra it has no link with this incident, but similar in snake variety. try dey read.
