He said, “To me, I said it, what are we doing? We have been on recess for several times. Let us be paid by sitting. If you sit, you get paid. If you are not sitting, you are not paid.Since Ndume knew this, why didn’t he sponsor the bill making the senate a part time one? He is capable of sponsoring the bill and expected to do so if he is indeed sincere |

The Senate should put up a legislative motion on dividing this contraption of a nation. The dangerous precipice Nigeria is seating on today calls for total division |

Senator Ndume is right on this one. No reason why the Senate should be full time. |

He should walk the talk by raising the motion on the floor of the Senate, we’ve had enough of all these sanctimonious rhetorics |

Why then is this garrulous fellow seeking to go back to the Senate after how many terms? Why isn't he sharing his allowances from same senate directly with his constituency every month Wonder why people take this weed smoker seriously. |

Senate is already part-time. How often do they attend plenary? Some of them come late and do not even read bills before passing. Some of them spend time chasing contracts and businesses. I think the senate should be scrapped and we should have regional senates where they can make laws for their regions. We should also scrap the house of representatives and have 36 state representatives who can make national laws and debate bills. Right now, politics is a job and many politicians have no substance. |

With the availability of starlink internet and the likes, Every senator should live in their constituency and meetings should be done remotely. Everybody logs in at 11pm. Meetings are done electronically and votes are carried out digitally. It will reduce the insecurity in a lot of areas, when the reps and the senators live in the midst of their people. |

Absolutely, I could remember Studemt parliament in the University, you only get paid a token per day for the number of days you attended sittings, and not monthly salary. |

Senator Loud mouth, you have been long enough to know that it is left for the legislature to do and come up with the law. Talking about " government" is only just shying away from taking responsibility for your inaction, ineptitude and ignorance. |
