There's no reason to thank Iran on this. It was Iran that hijacked this part of Lebanon for her Shiah brothers which Lebanon could not do anything about it. Now, with this the territorial integrity of Lebanon has been restored and these Iran proxy, the Hesbolah may never get that place back.

It will be much more devastating for Lebanon if her army attacks israel. Israel was a bit lenient in Lebanon because she is not fighting the state of Lebanon.
