Please help, how can someone go about changing date of graduation on nysc portal? This is the 3rd batch the school is sending out list of corrections to be made and each time, they omit my friend's name.

Aside going through the school to effect this change in date of graduation, what can be done? How can it be changed?

My friend is depressed because there has been so many hurdles through this schooling and here 3 years after school, my friend is still going through so much...

Please I need assistance... anyone who can help facilitate this thing... NYSC please help

Is NYSC application still on?

Registration for the current batch has closed, but the next batch mobilization will open again. Keep checking the NYSC portal at portal.nysc.gov.ng for updates on Batch B 2026.
Make sure your school has uploaded your name to the NYSC senate list before registration opens; that is what delays most people. Once your name is on the list, you can complete your pre-mobilization registration on the portal yourself.

Here is what your friend should do specifically:
Write a formal letter to the school registrar requesting an urgent correction to the NYSC senate data; reference the specific error clearly.
Visit the school's NYSC desk or student affairs unit in person; emails get ignored, and physical presence gets results faster.
Ask the registrar office to contact the NYSC zonal office directly to flag the correction. All schools have a dedicated NYSC liaison for this
Your friend should also call the NYSC directorate on 09048399528 and explain the situation; they sometimes escalate corrections from their end

The school is responsible for this error, and they have the access to fix it. Keep pressure on the registrar's office specifically, not just the school NYSC desk.

my school has not uploaded my name yet so I will keep working on that

Good day house.

Please can somebody be of help or on what to do. I registered for my NYSC mobilization last month when the NYSC opened their portal for just three days, but surprisingly after my registration, I saw a message of exemption letter instead of mobilization number. After my consultation with some of my guys, I was told that it is because of my ND which is P.T and my HND is a full time program. But before my registration, it was stated that I can serve because some of my colleagues that passed through the same route are in service and my age is fall under 30 before graduating. Please what can I do because I dont want this exclusion letter that is why I waited for this year since 2024 that I graduated.

I will be glad if I can see anybody that can help me out with this. Thank you.

The rule people always get wrong: NYSC checks your age at GRADUATION, not today.

So if you were 28 when your senate list was approved but you're now 31 — you are still eligible. Age is frozen at the date your institution submitted your senate list to NYSC, not the date you're reading this.

The exact rule: if you were 30 or younger on your graduation/senate list date, you must serve. If you were 31 or older, you qualify for an exemption certificate — which you still need to get, as most federal employers require it.

I found a free calculator that handles all the edge cases including COVID waivers, professional degrees, and foreign institutions: gradtools.ng — no signup, instant result.

From what I've seen and heard from corps members:

Lagos top-up leaders:
- Fintech companies (Flutterwave, Paystack, Moniepoint area) — ₦50k–₦150k/month top-up
- Commercial banks (GTB, Access, Zenith) — ₦30k–₦80k
- Telecoms (MTN, Airtel HQ) — ₦40k–₦70k

Abuja top-up leaders:
- Development organisations (UNDP, World Bank, USAID partners) — ₦50k–₦100k
- Federal agencies (CBN, NITDA, NCC) — ₦20k–₦50k
- International NGOs — ₦40k–₦80k

Key tip: visit the PPA board at your state secretariat on the FIRST day of orientation — not day 3. The good slots go fast.
