As A Teacher, How Would You Rate This Student? by UnbiasTruth(op): 6:35pm On Jun 27
This is obviously a creative child. I smiled when I saw this drawing of a skeleton.

This is different from the usual longitudinal drawings we see in textbooks.
This student was told to draw again.

My feedback would have been:

"This is a beautiful drawing of a skeleton. A longitudinal drawing would have been appropriate for this subject."

What are your thoughts on the feedback below?

In as much as he labeled the bones of the skeleton correctly... He is surely getting the full mark!!!

Perfect, it takes a creative child to come up with this. Even the teacher can't do this, hope not a Nigerian teacher

The child is more creative than the teacher. He'll get his full mark and praise

A lot is going on in that child's brain.
He's probably a critical thinker.

Dancing skeleton. kiss

If it was an art class I would appreciate his effort if I'm the marker.

Since it's a biology class I would do what the teacher asked and tell him to draw again.

It's good to always know when , where and how to express oneself at the appropriate time.

When it's time to be creative by all means do so and when it's time for serious business be serious.

As they say when you meet a swords man draw your sword, when you come across a poet you can recite poetry.

Pls draw again!

Hello teacher, please give him his full marks. He deserve it. This is a job well done.

This is a genus mind and a critical thinker i will award his marks quickly great minds are born to defy the norm and think beyond the bonds of the known. Teachers are ment to spot interlet and encourage them at least Thats how they do aboard. Steve Hawkins and Ben Carson. comes to mind.

Why saying so, are you trying to say that teachers are less creative
Re: As A Teacher, How Would You Rate This Student? by otomatic(m):
Full marks if properly labelled. Who said a skeleton should stand straight?
Education that teaches us to only stop at what was taught is nonsense. The child is a genius, thinking beyond what was taught and using his imagination correctly.
Which one is "draw again"? That is how creativity is killed.
Re: As A Teacher, How Would You Rate This Student? by gr8cany: 8:36am On Jun 28
What do you mean by longitudinal drawing?.

There is no longitudinal drawing in skeletal diagram or rather it make no sense as all parts will not be represented.

Maybe you explain more what you mean by "a longitudinal drawing could have be better."

Meanwhile, The student is just good in artistic drawing and nothing special here...I would just give him/her all marks deserved and nothing more

It is probably a Biology class; not Creative Art. He should be in art class if he wants to be a cartoonist. But as long as this is a science subject, I'll reduce his scores by half.

Re: As A Teacher, How Would You Rate This Student? by Lanruze: 12:09pm On Jun 28
It depends on the Examination Instruction.

If he was instructed to draw a specific angle of a skeleton then I will score the student low.

However, if there was no specific instruction on the skeleton angle and student was this creative, I will call her and encourage on her drawing skill.

He should be made Drawing Ambassador in that school. Anyone with extra ordinary ways of doing things should be awarded.
