First lady should have advised the ladies to go into prostitution and the men carry drug instead of the akara business .These two have better money.

Even the JOE is a mad man. So after spending over 5 years to acquire higher education the best the president's wife could come up with is akara and kulikuli business.
The problem with some of you is that you're simply too lazy to conduct your own research and find out the truth before reacting to issues.
I can confidently bet that over 98% of the people criticizing Senator Remi Tinubu have not even watched the video in question. The remaining 2% who may have seen it have likely been influenced by the bandwagon effect.
I have watched the video, and its content is entirely different from what some people are portraying here and on other social media platforms.
The First Lady was simply explaining that her foundation has been helping people overcome poverty and will continue to provide support to the less privileged, especially women, to help break the cycle of poverty. She further stated that the money given to the women at the event was meant to help them start businesses, not to be spent on unnecessary or frivolous things. She merely gave examples of small businesses they could venture into, such as making kulikuli or selling akara, as ways to earn a decent income.
At no point did she say that Nigerian youths should become kulikuli makers or akara sellers.
It is important to understand that not everyone who starts a thread or comments on a topic has a proper understanding of it. Some deliberately misrepresent the facts to push a narrative, while others do so because of limited knowledge or poor comprehension. Before reacting or joining the outrage, it is always better to verify the facts for yourself.

Shame on you for spewing this thrash out . Ask yourself can a security guard in Nigeria afford 3 square meals in a day.Can a cleaner afford basic things in Nigeria unlike their counterparts in Canada,US and UK. Keep being delusional all in name of trying to justify rubbish. If Nigeria is OK as u are portraying it your politicians won't let their kids travel out and school abroad. You can't be wiser and smarter than them who take their kids to those countries stop being sentimental.
You have just described what you think life is like in the UK, the US, and Canada. My brother, those countries also have less privileged people. They have homeless people and people living in poverty too.
A cleaner in those countries does not earn or live like the CEO of a bank. Every society has its own economic challenges.
If only you knew what many people who relocated abroad ("Japa"wink are actually going through, you would better appreciate some of the opportunities you still have here. Many are struggling with high living costs, multiple jobs, loneliness, and financial pressure.
There is no such thing as free money or free meals anywhere in the world—not even in Freetown. Success still requires hard work, discipline, and perseverance, regardless of the country you live in.

So called advanced countries open coffee shops and other small businesses. So what exactly is wrong with dignity in labour?

Why do you guys prefer handouts so much?
Maybe you should set an example by advising members of your family to startup 50K akara businesses. Do you know how much it costs to setup a coffee shop in the so called advanced countries?

..abi.. while the politicians children get CBN, NNPC jobs
Now let me surprise you with this revelation: do you know that you could earn more money than the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria simply by selling akara if you are passionate, consistent, and run it as a successful business?
The mindset that success can only come from a white-collar job is outdated. In today's world, entrepreneurship, skilled trades, and small businesses can generate substantial wealth when managed with dedication, innovation, and good business practices.
What matters is not just the type of work you do, but the value you create, the discipline you apply, and the commitment you bring to it. Honest work is dignified, and every legitimate business has the potential to grow.

If you truly spent 5yrs in school, then school did not pass through you because you would have read to understand.

She clearly said she has sponsored ICTs and so on, but she also advised poor women to start something. It is easier to start something with little funds than to be a beggar. Some of you would rather beg. Go and re-watch the video.

When people ask me if I have a political ambition for running an NGO, I tell them ...you can only lead people who want to be led. Nigerians are Nigeria-Problem. Trying to tell them the truth is like speaking to a coconut head. grin grin grin

Is it that you folks abroad get totally disconnected with reality immediately you travelled our of the country? Do you think those people selling akara will do those things if they have better things to do, but because the country is fxckdd up , they have to do even the less dignifying job to survive. I'm sure people who use akara and kulikuli business to sponsor education of their wards won't even pray and hope for their wards to follow suit after the completion of their education . Other countries are making good innovation, investing massively in their most productive population but una government is encouraging people to start akara, kulikuli and roasted corn business and you're there supporting the shit.
Thank you for letting me know the real problem. In your illusion, Akara business is not dignifying? That is such a warped logic. I have just given you example of an "abroad" person that sell soup from home today but you conveniently side-stepped that.
So presence of Akara sellers also mean your country is not investing in productive population? That is not an intelligent conclusion my friend.
Please think independently. It helps

Advanced countries advised their citizens to start frying akara and kuli-kuli, and they finally got to where they are today.
You are referring to yourself....the woman simply meant "small scale business" Are people not into small scale businesses already? People do petty trades in the different places so why is this an issue. Oh because it was Tinubu's wife the man you all love to hate.

If truly you spent 5 years in school it has not helped you in any way because you cannot comprehend her comments. This is the same woman that has helped in the areas of ICT, her message simply means "small scale business". Even if you are a graduate what is wrong with going into small scale business? You people will be looking for white collar jobs that doesn't exist.

She has no class, no dignity, a glorified riff raff. This is the price Nigerians are paying for being non challant in elections.

When they say come out and vote, they will stay in their houses to watch soccer.

We allow criminals and vermin to govern us then we complain.

Until we say elections as our duty and choose our leaders we can't make progress as a nation.

Power to a riff raff is like putting gold ring on a pigs snout.

IT IS STILL A PIG.

How Would You Justify The Following Extravagant Spendings Under Tinubu's Government:

1. 21 Billion Naira To Renovate The Vice President House. No like they bought new kidneys or anything...for a house already functional. Done with public funds.

2. 70 Billion Naira To The National Assembly Members To Buy SUVs At The Cost 160 Million Naira Per One For Senators And House Of Representatives Members Specifically. To buy silence is every expensive.

3. 4 Billion Naira To Renovate Dodan Barrack Lagos Another 3 Billion Naira To Renovate Aguda House

4. 5 Billion Naira Was Given To Presidential Tax Reforms Committee Of Less Than Twenty People Headed By Taiwo Oyedele With Nothing To Show For It

6. 1.5 Billion Naira To Purchase Cars For Your Wife Senator Oluremi Tinubu Despite The Fact That First Lady Office Is Not Recognised By Our Constitution. Public funds they will later come around and claim they donated.

7. 300% Salary Increase For The Judges Which Was Speedily Passed By The Insensitive And Irresponsible Senators. The law has been bought.

8. 5 Billion Naira Was Budgeted For Presidential Fleet Of Cars For President Bola Ahmad Tinubu. I mean for someone who already has over 40 cars following him already.

9. 5 Billion equally budgeted for Presidential Yatch. The commonwealth is now a personal wealth.

10. 225 Billion naira spent on so-called Presidential Jet Festus Keyamo compensated.

11. 90 Billion naira spent on 2024 Hajj pilgrimage . Religion is a personal business. This is extravagant and irrelevant.

12. Billions of Naira Was Budgeted For Trips Including The Vice President Kashim Shettima To The Detriment Of The Citizens

13. Every Senator Is Paid 21 Million Naira Monthly

14. House Of Representatives Are Earning 13.5 Million Monthly All The Increment Was Done By Tinubu's Government

15. 15 Trillion Naira Lagos Calabar Coastal Road Was Awarded Illegally To Tinubu's Friend A Lebanese Gilbert Chagoury Who Was Repatriated Back To His Country By The Former President Obasanjo. I mean "awarded." No bids.

16. Billions lavished to lobbyist to romance against the Christian genocide.

17. How about the crazy number of ministers doing nothing?
