manmade:If you must attempt to be a spin doctor and try to put a positive spin on anything it can't be this video😄 There's is a reason it got a whole lot of negative feedback It's one thing to do charity in bourdillion with your money and be happy to see a large number of people poor in your state but it's another level of lunacy to expect to do the same on a national level and not expect the absolute rejection of such silliness Smh |

Madam Remi really fall hand, in stead of her to advise the youths on more profitable business like " hookups" for our sisters and "Yahoo plus" for our guys she dey talk of Akara and khulikhuli. |

Winneepye:The woman was actually making reference to small scale business, this is a country where it is not easy to get a job so nothing is wrong with starting a small scale business to survive. In abroad they are talking about many Nigerians are here selling akara, ground nuts, meat pies etc to survive Houston is a very good example. Anyways trust Nigerians their hatred for Tinubu will make them see the woman's comment the other way. If Peter Obi's wife said this they will be praising her for a good advice, bunch of hypokrits. |

nwirinedu:Don't deceive yourself into thinking that frying akara is a sign of failure or intellectual laziness. I don't want to see you become one of the intellectually lazy youths President Buhari spoke about. Go and read the story of how McDonald's started in the United States. Every legitimate business has the potential to grow into something great when it is pursued with vision, discipline, and excellence. Honest entrepreneurship deserves respect. |

LZAA:Someone gave you money and even advised you on how to invest it and grow it. Yet here you are, confidently talking rubbish online, despite not having ₦100,000 to your family's name. Instead of arguing with people on the internet, you should focus on applying the advice you were given and building something meaningful. I don't want to see you as one of the intellectually lazy youths President Buhari once described. There is absolutely nothing lazy about frying and selling akara. Instead of looking down on honest work, go and read the story of how McDonald's started in the United States. Many successful global businesses began with humble ideas. Hard work, consistency, and passion—not the type of job you do—are what create success. |

LZAA:The question is: Did you actually watch the video? I'm not convinced you did. It seems the desire for cheap likes and shares prevented you from taking the time to think critically. No insult is intended. |

manmade:First of all frying burgers costs for more money and the profit margin is very high. Have you ever heard of anyone frying hamburgers in his house in America ? The level of skill to make a hamburger is by far higher than that of frying Akara. To go to university and end up frying Akara just shows how flawed the university system is. If a secondary school girl can fry Akara does that not mean a university graduate should take Akara to the next level ? |
| Re: I Am Ashamed’ – Joe Igbokwe Reacts To Backlash On Remi Tinubu’s Viral Advice by FashionAfrica: 2:33am On Jun 28 |
goslowgoslow:I think you miss the point. A first lady asking the youth to try Akara is like the Chinese First lady asking Chinese citizens to cook rice. That would be an insult since China is a rice cooker and eating country, that means the leader is asking for people to do nothing new. No innovation. I think the problem is the government has not put the policies in place to make it easier for the youth to survive. In China they ban so many foreign businesses from operating in China this makes sure the Chinese have jobs and can be productive. Let us assume the government banned foreign shoes. Then Graduates will have jobs in designing shoes, Advertising shoes, Marketing shoes, then you will have a large number of artisans making shoes. |

Fuckyoumod:Your Analogy is very sound. I personally think people don't wish the masses well. You cannot tell a Graduate to fry Akara, why did that graduate go to school . What you can tell that Graduate is to partner with Akara sellers to improve Akara quality and distribution. It is not because Akara is a lowly business but because anyone who goes to University is a white collar worker meaning their job is to think, plan and pay people to execute. I make my money from linking people to businesses and I get a cut. If you want a painter to paint your house I will arrange it for you and get N5K commission. I buy things from supermarkets for people and make money of every product I buy and I do not own a shop |

Racoon:What inhuman? A Nigerian couple relocated to UK, Aberdeen Scotland specifically. They discovered that their meat pie wasn't as spicy as Nigerian's. The wife started preparing Nigerian meat pie on small scale as side hussle and Nigerians around were buying. Later demand increased. She resigned her job even with her Masters degree and operated full time because she was making more money than being an employee. As demand increased the husband resigned and joined her. The husband too has a Masters degree. Today producing and selling Nigerian meat pie is giving them more income than regular 9 to 5 job. The same couple wouldn't do this no matter how much it fetches them if they were in Nigeria. When Dangote advertised for truck drivers position demanding a first degree Nigerians abused him and the country. The same Nigerians will spend millions for a masters degree abroad and will celebrate being truck drivers. |

Eriokanmi:Sure P and all those free money schemes are doomed to fail and I advise that the FG should not venture into those againz rather the FG needs to work on the interests rates and also facilitate small startup loans that the recipient feels an obligation to run a successful business |
