If a Nollywood show is returning for a second season, it is not because they took enough time to make it so that it is good, they did it in haste, for a quick cash grab and it showed. It was a diabolical watch to say the least.

The first season had a very high production value, with a cohesive story tackling an important social vice. You could clearly see Netflix's print on it. But the first sign of disaster for this was the lack of the usual "tudum" intro. It is remoured that Netflix has been quietly scaling back on sponsoring original content here, and it was so obvious.

The story continues from S1, as Kemi and Sarah are facing consequences for their actions, making this a court and prison drama. The production value was gutter quality, The opening shot of the court house, has a Eko Judicial High Court sign, and in the same shot if you observe, There is a "Faculty of Engineering" signpost in the same shot , and the prison walls was the same as the courthouse, so probably a hotel block in the uni.

It was riddled with so many plot holes, that i lost count and the acting were so amateurish even from established members of the Cast which the shamely tried to cover by saying to many unnecessary swear words..f bombs were flying left right and center.

They tried to Hollywoodized, and do OITNB, which doesn't work well in a Nigerian context and failed terribly at both, their worst crime was hinting at a possibility of an S3, but they will be actually crazy if they do it. The final straw of how rubbish this show was, was when they had a typo in one of the episodes title cards 😩, i just burst out laughing. There wasn't a clear thinking person anywhere around this show, not in production, and certainly not in cast.


A miserable watch.

Ten episodes completed and they haven’t given any answers. They’re just dragging it with different stories out until Season 5.

Lol, I don't know why the show runners gave him that weird look. I'm like what's going on here. 😂

They probably did that to make him look more menacing. It's a wild dragon and has never been tamed for almost a century. I mean, this same dragon killed more hopeful Dragonriders combined than all other dragons.

So, Rhaena is pretty much stupid for trying such.
This is a major reason why dragons are bonded with a rider at a young age. Not a wild animal that has always roamed free till adulthood, a stark difference from other Targaryen dragons.

It's a different take from the books but I think I preferred Nettles better.

Before you watch Netflix ATLA S2, you need to accept that this show will never be as good as the cartoon and adjust your expectations.

Season 2 is much better than season 1.

The visual effects and the pacing have improved.

Team Avatar is better, their relationship is stronger. The acting is better and they have way better chemistry here than they did in season 1.

Toph Beifong is perfect. The actress is brilliant. She got everything right, down to the mannerism, attitude, personality and even the voice.

Season 2 still got pacing issues. Some episodes move really fast and some are slow and boring.

Some dialogues are cringey and some of the fight scenes were poorly done.

The main plot is barely changed. Everything else is loosely adapted.

The production design is much better.

Basing Se feels like a real city. They built sets instead of filming everything with CGI like they did with Omashu is season 1.

I have watched all 7 episodes.

I went in with low expectations because I didn't like season 1 very much and I wasn't disappointed.

I'm glad season 2 is better but there's still room for improvement.

I will give it a decent 7/10

You dey try sha. The only way I'm seeing any of these Nollywood slops is if I'm paid to see them. Even the hyped up The Polygamist from SA, though they make better movies than us, I'm not seeing it.

S2 being better than S1 is not a compliment in my opinion. They left out so much. The boulder arc where we meet Toph was just so random when it was one of the best character introduction in animation 😪. This season was still trash. It was so unfunny and cringe- esp the conversation they were trying to make everything deep when it wasn't 🙃 they made sokka so unfunny, anytime he tried to be funny it felt so performative.
The worst thing about the show was the acting. Aang's acting seemed like a donkey was giving a script and tried to act like an emotional human- that kid can't act to save his life 😔 it seemed like he was pushed to start acting because he just looked like Aang which now he doesn't look like him anymore.
The cinematography that was so terrible also carried to s2 too.
The only reason it seemed good was because of the source material.
A clear 4/10 and a 2/10 if you're comparing to the animated show
