Google what is called STANDARD ANATOMICAL POSITION. The kid scores F for trying.

There is no room for ”anyhowness” in science

I would give him the highest marks. He has done what he was supposed to do ... draw and label the parts of the skeleton. Even if he was not the only one ... here's my reason. The space is limited ... he drew a larger scale of the skeleton than makes labeling the parts easier and easier to distinguish. To fit the entire skeleton in a standing or laying position the drawing has to be on a much smaller scale ... and parts difficult to identify.

Note: ... creativity recognized ... but no marks for that. Whatever his academic pursuit ... I see him having a bright future as an artist because he naturally has that gift and more importantly... hisncreative ability.... he will not be one to be putting out the "normal artworks _ ... he will be giving us from different perspectives... like he did with the skeleton in this.

Well, if you ask me I don't think that dude drew what he did due to limited space.

The people that drew theirs in an upright position and in the normal way had the same space of paperwork as well.

That's if we want to reason outside the box like you just did!

The thing is, this skeleton makes more sense. It shows how the bones actually move, with the muscles, of course.

However, anatomically, there is a convention on how a skeleton should appear in space.

It allows each part to be described in relation to the body standing straight, using specific terms.

If it's just secondary school biology, the dancing skeleton is fine, even creative.

❤️❤️ This drawing is sweet. And will command the full marks in a fine art test but will lose some marks in a biology test. I can clearly see that the object is being shaded which is not required in a biology drawing. 🤣🤣🤣

Dancing skeleton.

If it was an art class I would appreciate his effort if I'm the marker.

Since it's a biology class I would do what the teacher asked and tell him to draw again.

It's good to always know when , where and how to express oneself at the appropriate time.

When it's time to be creative by all means do so and when it's time for serious business be serious.

As they say when you meet a swords man draw your sword, when you come across a poet you can recite poetry.

Pls draw again!

You sound very good but so far all requirements are met in any given assignment then creativity shouldn’t be stifled.

And you don’t have to meet a swordsman with only a sword, I think a gun would suffice nicely.

I never said or implied that creativity should be stifled. What I said was that he was expressing it in the wrong way or platform which makes it inappropriate.

They is time for everything as even the Bible says. And wisdom directs that you know when and where it's appropriate to do certain things.

You can't wear a bikini to a bank executive meeting and call it creativity or say you are expressing yourself. No, that's madness.

And by the way the old saying when you meet a swords man... doesn't necessarily mean you are at war with the swordsman, fighting him or intend to kill him. It only implies that a sword interests and catches his attention. It follows that when you meet him also draw your own sword and you both can have a discussion about swords and bond on that.

Nothing concerns a swords man about guns or he might not be interested about guns. Discuss what is important or has meaning to a person with that person.

Don't go telling a cripple with no legs about a beautiful shoe and how it would have perfectly fitted him- if he had legs!

Drawings in Creative art Class is different from drawings in Biology class. As a biology teacher, if I don't deduct his marks for the drawing, he certainly missed it on the labeling because there are rules when it comes to drawing in anatomy/biology it's either on the left/the right or both on the straight form and this is the reason why many students failed WAEC and science examinations.

Up to International level Science has its own rules.

That student was lucky to have a chance of redo the drawing. If it's standard examination like WAEC/University examination there's no grace for such.

This student is a gifted artist, if I were to be the teacher I'll nourish and support his God's given talent.

Calm down, that's your job as a teacher to guide these children in the right path, it clearly shows the student is a creative artist and might not even need the biology and sciences you are talking about. Keep your rules one side and try to help them take their talents to a bigger stage. If you even look closely the labelling is correct, the students followed the rules and added some creativity to his work. School is supposed to be fun not a garbage in garbage out situation. Is painful on how school ends and k!ll some gifted children's talents.
Humans are not supposed to learn and act like robots.

I grew up around some brilliant female artists who drew more than this.
To my point: spot on - unconsciously, there is that sexist presumption.

If this was in the western countries, the school will take notice of that student creative mind and develop him. But unfortunately na this zoo of a country where some dimwits like that teacher can't see beyond what is on that paper. I pray that child creativity and artistic talent not be diminish but grow into something wonderful. His/ her parents should take notice and help norture that talent now.

Don't mind them, we play too much in this country, that is why nothing is working. As a student, you should learn to follow rule, it is that rule you followed that made you a good student, assuming doctors, engineers, even teachers failed to follow rules when they were still students, they wouldn't have gotten to the level they are

We had one crazy guy like that when we were in school, the job that will take us nights to draw and finish,the will just show up all his works in cartoon like drawings. Even the lecturers knew getting him out is tantamount to destroying him. So that was how he graduated however how they graded him till tomorrow I still can't believe. All buildings showing up as cartoons is something else
