INEC Yet To Receive CTC Of Court Ruling Voiding NDC Registration by dre11(op): 7:13am On Jun 28
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is yet to receive the certified true copy (CTC) of the court ruling that voided the registration of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

On Friday, a federal high court in Lokoja, Kogi state, vacated its December 10, 2025, judgement compelling INEC to register the NDC as a political party.

Delivering the ruling in suit marked FHC/LKJ/CS/49/2025, Isah Dashen, presiding judge, held that the December 10, 2025, judgement was delivered without hearing all necessary parties, rendering the proceedings constitutionally defective.

According to NAN, the ruling followed an application by the Peace Movement Party (PMP), which argued that it had a legal interest in the case and should have been made a party before the court delivered judgement.

Dashen also ruled that material facts were not disclosed during the earlier proceedings and ordered that the substantive suit begin afresh with INEC, the PMP, and the NDC joined as parties.

On Saturday, sources at the commission told TheCable that INEC is aware of the judgement passed on Friday.

The source said that the commission has not received the CTC of the judgment and cannot comment on any issue until the judgement is reviewed.

I wonder why Tinubu supporters have been rejoicing.

The court order only said that the case will start all over again with another interested party(PMP) which has a legal interest in the case.

Las las, Peter Obi will still be on the ballot after the retrial.

PMP just dey waste money.

The APC gauged opinions online and probably bought into the myth that the Southeast will vote Tinubu if Obi is not on the ballot. This is why they have gone ahead to disenfranchise Obi. This may turn out to be a strategic mistake. The truth is that Tinubu has no pathway to re-election with or without Obi on the ballot. It will only get worse if Obi is not on the ballot. In the meantime, you will see more snake oil merchants attempting to sell a phantom "Southern alliance".

APC doing as if they are very scared of Peter Obi. Peter Obi will still be in the ballot, but the main plan of APC is massive rigging, All this distractions is just to make their plan less obvious.

I keep asking this same question with no answer why Ebola Tinupoo is so afraid and scared of Peter Obi contesting Presidential election that he always desperately come after any party Peter Obi joined

INEC will receive the CTC by Monday or Tuesday and subsequently de-register NDC. There is no other cause of action. NDC is done.

Tinubu’s camp think that removing Obi from the ballot guarantees their victory. That will be a silly mistake that will bite their ass as all Obi’s supporters will rather vote an Atiku or even a goat to spite Tinubu

You haven't received but you have started denying them access.. the agenda is clear even to the blind..🤔🤔

Denying thousands of citizens the right to exercise their civic rights of being voted for, because you want to stop one man is the height of Executive recklessness hiding behind the mask of State Institutions..

We would all watch you go the elections alone..

APC is a useless party...They are so afraid of Obi that they'll do anything within and without their power to stop him from contesting, they know it's a futile effort but as dull as they are they will still waste their time and resources.
HE Peter Obi is the cure to the disease called APC.

What's with nigeria judges and the back and forth judgements ?

The concluding parts of the judgement. Obi should have never revealed that he was leaving the ADC due to court cases. They will keep using the courts to harass him in whatever party he joins. The best strategy was to stand in a formidable alliance and face your foes while damning all consequences. 2027 will be unlike any previous election. The stakes are higher. The very soul of our nascent democracy.

And you are not asking the question of why Peter will never look before leaping. It is common sense that any party registered through court order will continuously have court cases bothering on registration until final adjudication by the supreme Court.

Peter has no brain. Just talk and talk. When the reality faces you guys then you begin to look for alibi.

INEC knew what they were doing.
INEC said their logo resembles that of APC.
However, in their application before the Court, INEC said the logo was same as PMP, implying that PMP should have been in the suit.
You have a reason to a Party why you will not register then, then during your application in Court say it is identical to another Party.

That was how PMP got involved, however I still believe this is a case that should clearly be overturned on appeal.

I read an expose about Dele Farotimi and courts in Nigeria and to be honest, our judiciary have a long way to go, most of us might not like David Hundeyin that much but man is actually factually and leave no stone unturn whenever he's digging into matters that affect the general populace.

Nigeria legal knower will tell you that the law that can interpret anyway they want it and nobody will dare question them.

No sane judge or court will issue such a CTC. Even if they want to set aside the judgement or whatsoever which is not also that seemless to restart a new case file concerning the matter they don't still have much time again. There is a way they will deal with the matter their incompetence and despiration to stop Obi will become too obvious and can backlash.
