You are a liar like Obi. 10k to 50k, not 10k to 20k

Someone generously, from his pocket, gives out charity to support people some years ago which was more than double the worth of heir stocks.

Today, a woman claims she has distributed ₦3.5 billion Naira, not her money-o, & boasts she gave ₦50k so they could start Akara, corn or Kulikuli business, which by the way is not up to half of what those businesses require even as initial capital...

10,000 naira then is 500,000 now.
Someone bought fairly used vehicle (colt) then with just 40,000 naira.

If 1 crate of egg then = N5,000 then
N10,000 = 2 crates of egg🥚.

If one crate of egg now = N8,000, then
N50,000 = 5 crates of egg 🥚 plus N2,000 extra change

Numbers don't lie
Mariangeles:
Do you know that right before Tinubu assumed office and ruined everything, one could start egg retail business with as little as N5,000?
Per crate then was about N800-N850.

See them now laughing at a valuable N10k from way back that Tinubu himself has now rendered valueless.

[quote author=LegendHero post=139856567]It is not insulting, it is you that choose to be ignorant.

Go and watch that video again, she mentioned the billions she gave for other stuffs, mentioned they gave for ICT training and scholarships and etc. But because you guys are always fixated on sensationalism, they picked only the Akara part.

Now tell me, what is bad in giving people 70k to support their business if the capital they need is that amount? Would you rather we all act like those people don’t exist and neglect them because we must only give grant of 1m to educated people?

question is, na now she remember the poor in her midst?
So it is only when election is at the corner that govt laegesse comes out?

If it's 2023 then you're still out of point.
Tinubu's family are ruling while obi was just doing campaign. In both aspect APC is still a fraud in this case.
1. If it was when obi was Governor dat he gifted 10k then that money was more valuable.
2. If it's truly in 2023 dat he gifted them, then nothing spoilt. It's only a campaign assistance but Tinubu's family is ruling, so anything they do should not only be to gift but to make sure it changes people whom they're governing life.

LegendHero:
You mean 10k has great purchasing power in 2023?

So if 10k can do magic in 2023, why are you condemning 50k in 2026?
Re: I Empowered Market Women In My Village With ₦10,000 - Peter Obi (Throwback Video by Martartins(m): 6:32am On Jun 29
Peter Obi gave a gift as a private citizen to market women.

Govt giving handouts to market women is APC campaign strategy. They would rather do that than build a system that supports these women to grow their business.

Bunch of wicked set of people

Let's look at it this way:
10k then can buy 150 litres of fuel,
50k now can only buy 40 litres grin
10k then can buy 2carton of turkey,
50k now can only buy 5kilos grin
10k den can take you to Asaba to&fro Lagos,
50k now can only take you to Benin from Lagos grin
Abeg make I stop here first

It's a pity that Tinubu supporters are just as clueless as the man they support. If you see many of these supporters in person, you go really pity them. How can anyone in his right senses compare a gift pitobi gave to women in a village to a grant given by someone in government? It's downright silly.

This is a dumb comparison considering the current economic reality.

Obi did better if you need to be told.

Nobody selling Akara or Puffpuff will need more than 50k to start.

Obi is not the president nor vice,
Obi does not control any affairs in the govt nor have any appointment.
Obi have no criminal embezzlement in his records
Giving out 10k to women is from his pocket just as he always do
The problem is that most Nigerians are sly.
They know the truth but cover it with sentiments
They always attack a formidable opponent
Tinubu must go

TylerForbes:
It’s actually wild that you can’t tell the difference between a government grant and a personal gift. That’s a real shame.

If the First Lady had called it a "gift," nobody would be stressing. She’s probably handed out millions in private gifts before and nobody batted an eye. But calling 50k a "government grant" is just straight-up insulting. We don’t care about personal largesse—that’s her business—but rebranding our basic rights as "grants" and handing them out like peanuts is just a new flavor of slavery. It’s no different from the usual vote-buying we see everywhere.
Tell them ooooo, very very daft people

You lie. Peter Obi governorship term ended in 2014. As at then, 10k had a lot of value compared to 50k now. Besides, it was in the village, not the city.

That dribbling itself is what I want coz it will expose their hypocrisy

You guys must have run out of ideas, 10 thousand naira in 2009 is over a 100k today in value, Obi is not your president yet it is Obi that is the problem, instead of holding the man in power responsible for his failures it is Obi that you keep looking for faults in his actions shame on you

10k in 2013 is about 150k today. That is how valueless thew Tinubu/APC has made the naira. The biggest OX fan used to sell for 8k then, now it is around 150k.
