So who made Tinubu? You have not answered that question. Does supporting a governor to succeed you suddenly mean that you own their souls in perpetuity? Tinubu is not the only governor from the 1999 set, why is he the only one that has refused to let go of the state he governed? What manner of greed is that? There were governors in Lagos before him. Did he also make Seyi Makinde? Baba Kabiru already had a solid grassroots base before Tinubu became governor. As a matter of fact, Tinubu benefitted from his structure in Alimosho to become governor.

Am not Yoruba. God didn't make me one. Stop reducing national politics to ethnic solidarity and individual interests. My generation was born during military rule and we left university under military rule so don't waste your time trying to hype Tinubu's person in the story of student unions and civil society groups struggle against the military which predates 1993 elections

You know nothing about the man you defend with all your might.

Tinubu benefited largely from the good will of the woman who adopted him and her husband. Abibatu Mogaji.

That woman alongside her family name and backing of the elders of Lagos Island gave Tinubu the supports he had when he first became Senator and when he was later voted governor in 1999.

Those men that helped him them, he betrayed almost all of them. He cornered the entire state to himself and family and throw crumbs at those that chose to remain with him.

Where’s Kofoworola Bucknor?
Where’s Funsho Williams? (He stepped down for Tinubu in AD 1999 primaries).

Tinubu was never an activist. He was in bed with military leadership as far back as Babangida’s time.


Go back and revisit history and know your left from right.

Who are the we? Are you the only Yoruba person in Yorubaland? Are Aregbesola, Osinbajo, Ambode, Makinde, etc not Yoruba enough? Did they tell you they don't have Yorubas who support them? If Tinubu enjoys unanimous support from Yorubaland, why did he lose Lagos and Osun states?

If Seyi Makinde and co are betrayals for not supporting Tinubu according to Yoruba culture, can we also call Tinubu a betrayer for refusing to support Obasanjo all through his 8 years tenure? You all now invoke Yoruba culture to blackmail any opposition to Tinubu in Yorubaland but does Tinubu display any attribute of an Omoluabi? Even Afenifere was against him until he factionalised the organisation and tactically killed it.
