Oluremi Tinubu's Akara, Corn, Kulikuli Statement Grossly Misunderstood by ikorodureporta(op): 9:59am On Jun 29
When the Akara, Corn & Kulikuli statement started trending, I had to search for the video myself and watched to understand how it came about....

Dear Nigerians, most of you don't understand what she said - you're just being carried away by sentiments...

She was talking about how they're helping businesses with loans (that means you pay back later) and she referenced some other businesses that require less support (like akara, corn, etc) that they don't have to pay back (grant), so as to encourage those in that category.....

So why the uproar about it??

She's absolutely right in everything she said. Based on my experience with NGOs, we assist people with as little as helping them to get foodstuff to start cooking business. Some people just need cartons of indomie & eggs to establish it....
If you're very comfortable in life, you will never understand what she meant...

Some people just need the basic stuffs so that they can carry on...
Like people doing shoe maker aboki job, what does it take to equip that box they carry about?

Let's be guided pls. Businesses are of different categories and she didn't limit what she said to the grant of about 50k. There's loan for those willing to pay back...

Tinubu and his family are clearly not in touch with reality.
The other day it was onanuga who said he doesn't see the hunger Nigerians are complaining about.

They are just recycling poverty and calling it empowerment.

Tinubu and his family doesn't even understand the problems of Nigerians, so how will they fix what they don't understand or even see?

The only way to have a better Nigeria is to have a president who understands the problems of Nigeria and see our hunger, insecurity and suffering

Your justification holds no water. This pharaoh like administration is hell bent on crumbling all businesses be it Akara or car sells.

It's not misunderstood, the people making noise about it are just desperately looking for anything to hold on to.
It goes to show the level of depravity and shallowness among them.
They Will soon find something else to cry about soon.

Oga be reasonable.

Na person wey don chop belle full dey understand something.

You can't put people in Years and years of poverty, anger and anguish and just magically expect them to UNDERSTAND anything you say.

If this same statement came out of the mouth of a regular Nigerian, will anyone even talk about it? But your son is driving ROLLS ROYCE with the latest Richard Mille on his wrist while you are wearing lace of 500k and diamond ear rings and saying such on national TV,... This is what we get after first tenure and your husband is bracing up to do another 4 years. what kind of reaction do you expect?

YOU ARE THE ONE THAT MISUNDERSTOOD NIGERIANS

Abeg allow Nigerians to react. it is not like they came out in protest like the French revolution. Allow Nigerians.

Like what someone said up there, your justification holds no water. That statement she made is an insult to Nigerians. What made it trend is because it’s coming from someone of her caliber.

Baba you go explain tire! I perceived you are a beneficiary or an APC party member.Truth be told Akara business is for the poor.

Why can't she present the same/close opportunity given to the party women leaders who were given Brand new SUV cars? what's good for the goose is also good for the gander.

Oga! Can you allow your graduate wife/ sister venture into Akara biz.Can one do Akara business and be rich or live a standard life in Nigeria.

how will u empower a poor widow

Just answer that question n I will believe Remi Tinubu is wrong, the fact u see 50k as small money doesn't mean some vulnerable people can't do something with 50k

These people below, do u think their goods worth 50k
