It is not about doing all those things, it is about the fact that you have mismanaged our economy N200,000 gave me $1000 during Jonathan's era but to get a $1000 in your era, a Nigerian have to get N1,500,000. That is gross mismanagement of an economy. You are making Nigerians to labour in vain! |

ikorodureporta:Abeg stop giving life to a non-issue. Your assumption that those criticizing the First Lady’s speech didn’t understand what she said is laughable. They perfectly understand but they must find a way to make it look bad just because of politics. Don’t be surprised that even if the First Lady does whatever those wailers recommend as the noble thing to do to empower people, they will still go against their own recommendations. It’s never about the gesture, they simply don’t like who is doing it, or you didn’t see the thread where it was shown their Obi donated 10k to empower some people, compare their reaction in both instances to know it’s never about the gesture but about the individual. |

So in your mind kulikuli business is an empowerment this government should make speech about? Can kulikuli business feed a family? Or akara nowadays with a support? |

Willie2015:apc women are not vulnerable women Before politics they are big n that's y the ruling party can make them leaders Many party leaders are rich before they ventured into politics cos u n I know politics in Nigeria is expensive, how do u give 50k to someone who has 4 big warehouses in Lagos? What many of u don't understand is that many things are meant for specific purpose The people Remi Tinubu are talking about are d vulnerable people whose petty trade is less than 50k She's not talking about people who see 50k as nothing |

Sheuns:were they d ones made party leaders? Omo see how this one dey reason, is it that u are deliberately mischievous or u just think this way. So do u expect someone like mama hadiza of PDP, Aisha yesufu n co to be collecting 50k for empowerment from government? U ain't using your brain, do u expect a medical doctor or an engineer or a barrister to collect 50k for empowerment? Your brain should tell u she's referring to people in the picture below

ikorodureporta:While other countries are trying as much as possible to improve the lives of their citizens through improved means you are still here defending akara and kuli kuli is it with the way the government is running the economy you expect the business to prosper no enabling environment, inflation and insecurity sometimes I don't blame this politicians because they have already weaponized poverty and every of their decisions is seen as normal. My agitation there should be an enabling environment for SMES |

The trolls don't get it. Every sensible person can understand what was said. You'll keep losing as long as you keep trying to push a sensless lie. It can never work. The best thing for you is to abandon the lie. |

Oga, the help Nigerians want is a better run economy not handouts. Your principal did not present himself for office on the basis of handouts and Nigerians know that once they start down this line of tokenism the government will feel it has fulfilled it's obligations. That is the concern. So they see such offerings more as bribes rather than concerted governance. A government that just throws money at every problem rather than understanding and application. By the way they better get busy. At a modest rate of inflation of 15 percent that N50,000 loses approximately 86 kobo per hour in real value and since she announced the grant three days ago it is has effectively reduced to round about N49,940. That is the real problem, the real reason why this dog of an economy continues to chase it's tail. Inflation remains too lava hot to boil water to make eba. It just turns to steam and vaporizes if you under what I mean. So let us quit the debate and either quickly start frying beans cakes or just......give us a better economy, that's all. |

ikorodureporta:You guyz can come up with all manners spin & coloration BuT one thing you can change is that she spoke in English, our official languge in Nigeria why you think you need to translate english to english is what baffles me, i am also aware context is an interpretation factor she said verbally we are trying to give hope, and to start akara business doesn't take a lot of money, to " start" roasting corn or eeh somebody even said about graduate, that they are saying kuli kuli, doesnt take much money, we didnt give them a loan, we gve it to them as a grant, so we encouraged Nigerians as best as we can, what i have i have given please weytin be for this english she speak that some peoplle feel they are the ones that can interprete it correctly charlescng. even claim she is not talking to newbies that she refering to existing business owners ... despite hearing are use the word " START" .one of the problems we have in this countries are political jobber n sycophants who try to perfect govt goof as an avenue to cloutchase earn a pat on the back or get an office like reno We are at a time the poverty rate in Nigeriais said to be 63% .. shouldnt govt be talking of lifting people out of poverty line even if na 1ft up instead you are proposing business that those doing itself fall into the poverty class .. i know akara sellers in my area i see the cloth they wear, how there children look, even the house they rent we see there living condition why wil Govt coach people on how to swim and float inside poverty what the 1st lady is trying to address is high rate of Unemployment, so 1st lady & her husband feel instead of nagging about unemployment after graduation. .. sell akara, sell kulikuli, hawk pure water & minerals this are business with shinkini capital, you know what i think, any business you are doing that can not cover basics of your life need aint worth the time. can someone selling akara afford medical operation, what if the firewood smoke affect her eye, can proceed from akara pay the bill you dey hawk soft drink for express, if motor jam you can the sales cater for your medical bill anywhere. i am selling kuli kuli then i discover i am hypertensive . can kuli kuli profit cater for such person medication nd appointment my late grand mother had eye problem cos of exccessive cooking with fire wood she lost her eye before she die in 1992 ... Do people like you consider thev hazard of frying akara, hot oil pour on your leg ..can akara profit cover the medical bill today |

BATified2023:If the First Lady want to help vulnerable people as you stated... She will create kits/equipment's for a particular business trade.. support it with adequate cash funding to be sustainable.... or u monetize everything they need to set up... Can N50k start an Akara business in Lagos, Porthacourt and Abuja.? Urban logistics will wipe out any margin in that business. The primary inflation drivers make a ₦50,000 baseline unrealistic. U guys are very wicked, The First Lady can afford to spend million of Naira for APC Women Leaders but cant afford to give a realistic baseline to set up an Akara business. Thats my point. |
