So when soludo demolished in Anambra, was he targeting the Igbos? When that short man demolished in Abia, was he targeting the Igbos.

The Igbos are always doing like last born in Nigeria. Cry cry babies.

I support the Lagos State Government.

Once a building is blocking the waterways, bring it down completely.

Lagos is not the only state where you can make money.
If you're selling to Nigerians and want to make a lot of money, you need to sell to Lagosians.

Iakeko needs to be demolished, that is when we know Lagos APC is serious about fighting flood. Not this wizard-hunting

Lagos flooding provides moment of truth for those flexing expensive cars with electric power steering unit. Eyes go clear. grin grin grin Na canopy and garage straight or months at Kazeem workshop because it is an expensive fix. Fix it and the flooding next week spoils it again until the owner gives up. grin

The question has always been, these buildings were not erected last night. They have been there for years, durring dry seasons, you have officials going about monitoring.
Is there has to be crises before you start seeing illegal developments or just trying to escape rebuke and blame someone else for your inefficiency and firlure?

That's current. But is this about the commissioner trying to blame someone else for his inefficiency and firlure. A building blocking the water way was not erected last night. The ministry has monitoring officials and enforcement.. do they need to wait for crises before knowing that a building was done illegally?

Who gave all the permits for the buildings in the first place?

What about do proper refuse cleaning and environmental sanitation that block drainages from working effectively?
Na still the same thing: clear anything blocking water from flowing.

True.

Electric steering was a step backward into the dark ages.

I know people with 2007 Corollas (hydraulic power steering) who have little to fear in this season - as long as they use common sense when navigating flooded roads. Meanwhile, 2017 and newer Toyotas - are parked at home with their owners facing steep steering repair or replacement bills. undecided

Newer isn't always better

We only hear this statement whenever their is flood in Lagos State, after the raining season, everything would go back to normal. Untill the LSG start charging people to court on illegal house construction but all of them na APC member so nothing go sup.

A lot of these government people can just be responsible for this unfortunate things happening, if only they are proactive and thorough. What happens to building permit and urbanization plan and development systems? Why give such permits, and still turn around to say they are in waterways? It just could have been avoided from get-go

Unserious people. What happened to demolishing it before the rainfall?

Why throwing people out of their shelter now, in this rainy season?

Hmmm..it's well and I hope there will be better compensation for them too
Compensate someone that blocked waterways causing flood?

Very silly hypocrites!
The flooding in Lagos is caused mostly by the sand-filling of the lagoon by the Lagos state govt itself. The lagoon has been massively sand-filled at places like Oworonsoki, Ilubirin and others. This is where the problem is but the hypocrites in govt. would like to blame others but not themselves.

Yes,some people are being targeted.

Why Lekki? Other Areas in Lagos are water prone but not touched.

We know the game. The bigotry.

It's a matter of time...!
