chopnaira:Not really. The executive have played their hand. It is very difficult to amend the constitution via the legislature which requires a constituional proposal and ratification. |

What a strong institution! It's a rocket science in a country of particular concern. Weak institutions everywhere! Just a phone call, matters are turned upside down. |

After losing the midterm elections, let’s see how he will get the support in the Congress to pass this aberration as law. chopnaira: |

Backlinker01:Definitely if it is possible. That’s the route those radicals use to become American citizens, finding their way to become judges, spreading their horrible agenda and killing innocent citizens in the name of religion. |

I don't think Trump was unaware he wouldn't lose that case. It was just a test of depth. The real target is to stop it going forward. Those already in are no issues. So, let's see how you go again, Mr Trumpet! |

morpheus24:After midterm elections, Congress will be fully run by Democrats, this is the start of the end for Trump! |
| Re: US Supreme Court Upholds Birthright Citizenship by Onegai(f): 6:26pm On Jun 30 |
ednut1:Because they are a country of immigrants and that was the only way to unite all of them: Brits, Irish, Scots, Chinese, Europeans, African freed slaves. These are the first immigrants who mer the Native Indians there. Removing this means a President can say someone is in American for political reasons and therefore his/her children won't be citizens even if they were born there. Removing this changes the Constitution and another President may decide to amend the Constitution (freedom of speech, freedom to arm yourself against an unreasonable govt etc) as he/she feels like. |
| Re: US Supreme Court Upholds Birthright Citizenship by abbey621(m): 6:27pm On Jun 30 |
Some people don't understand how decisions like this works. Any future challenge will always refrence this ruling as precedent hence it is dead going through the courts. The only solution is legislative and that's not going to happen with the Democrats poised to take over after November. |
| Re: US Supreme Court Upholds Birthright Citizenship by regenerateman(m): 6:28pm On Jun 30 |
This is where the institutions are working. The court looks at what the constitution says and not the executive order of the president. A person that is given birth in United States irrespective of the status of the parents is a citizen of the United States. |

ahmedio2017:The orange clown can never stop this. Trump grand father was from Germany, he was an immigrant too, infact white Americans are mainly from Europe, they took over America from the indigenous people and kicked them out, leaving them in misery. |
