CharlesCNG:On what basis the you arrive, Every voice oposing Pastor Adeboye hypocrisy are " Obedient" suddenly, We talk of insurgence, You complain Tinubu data boiz stereotype " Obedient nii" Their is no light you compain Tinubu boiz answer ... Obedient nii Now these ridiculous habit of ascribing every opposing Voice as obedient is higly ridiculous, over 7 million Nigerians voted for Atiku/pdp ... have All these people died or relocated to Dubai with Atiku NO Community Will Grow when elder statesmen play Hypocrisy .. we know pastor Adeboye & Tinubu family are very close, thats no crime But the Man of God should have respected himself than come on Tv to play spoke Aid of the presidency @ the highligted, no reason person will excuse Failed manager, in office you have dept heads, if his or her team fail the head of that team takes the punishment if a branch is recording low patronage, the headquarter fire or change the branch manager.. why ?? Tunubu is the chief commander, he can only give orders , he has done his best, he can't wear kakaki nd carry gun Chelsea fc, Man utd have sacked many Coaches ....what do this coaches do is it not to give strategy, formation, can Mourinho enter the pitch to play the ball himself .. So why is Managers that get fired nd the players that do own goal still retained Baba defence for Tinubu no follow, thats me being over polite sef To the Hypocrisy ..What did Papa Adeboye say when goodluck jonathan was president ..just one school kidnap the whole blame was on Jonathan Now we have over 10 school kidnap then Baba make a sharp turn nd say dont blame the president So who should we blame, who asked to be president ?? did we force Tinubu to kum rule us or he force himself on us shouting emilokan Is Tinubu not aware of the state of the nation he inherited considering how close he is to the corridors of power? This Man himself said, Don't pity me so why would a Pastor reduce himself to the mouthpiece of a politician, when he is supposed to be the mouthpiece of God? smh |

This is by far, the most intelligent comment I have read here in a while. Every single criticism of the inconsistency of our so called pastors is always reduced to "obidients are this and that" We still have a very long way to in Nigeria. Ekpeitut: |

This is why Peter Obi is the real threat to APC, Tinubu and every corrupt and incompetent politician. Every time any Nigerian citizen criticises Tinubu’s government or anyone supporting his government, the person will be termed ‘Obidient’. When Atiku criticised Tinubu, the blame was on Peter Obi and his supporters, when El Rufai was talking and got arrested, Obidients were blamed. Even when Sowore and VDM lashed out at Tinubu and APC, Peter Obi took the blame. Lest not forget that Tinubu also blamed Igbos for kidnapping when evidence showed the real culprits whom the man either due to politics or cowardice refused to acknowledge. I’ve noticed that it’s much easier and more convenient for APC supporters to blame Peter Obi for all their faults. Nigeria go better. |

Tenses:The problem I have with these gangsters is the lack of decorum when having civil discourse. When Obi was going round the Clergymen and absorbing all the prophecies and the YES Daddy's they were Gods oracle. I have said it over and over, you don't win elections on social media, let Obi go and install structures at the grassroot, then he can be talking about winning elections. |

Realguyman1:How many igbos?and there is nothing wrong if a few people comment on suleiman, but you will never see it has mainstream apc propaganda like obidients are making adeboye's statement sound......attack his statement and proffer superior argument but not attacking his person....this isnt about who is wrong or right, its about Nigeria and how to make it better. If it isn't politics why should adeboye's statement bother you? |

oyichi:You lied, Adeboye's reputation as a respected Elder statesman and reliable religious leader remains intact. You only succeeded in remarketing Obi further. Sane citizens keep telling you guys that politics of insulting any person perceived not to support your opinion is suicidal but in your foolhardiness you still hurled more insults at the gentle elder, see, if peter obi never becomes Nigeria president then it is this toxic aporoach adopted by obidients that costed him the chance. And, from the look of things, based on how well obedients have succeeded in demarketing the guy, No sorry to all obidients OBI WILL NEVER BE PRESIDENT -kiss the truth, feel free to unleash your toxicity, I mean bring on your lame insults- it's your trademark |

Image123:He truly did. People wre.judt mad that he did more than he is now doing..when gej was there. That is understandable given the peculiarity of his situation. Any country whrre religion and politics arent well separated suffers from this. |

Lithiumite:There are many people in this complainants group..that are not obidients.. I am not obidient..yet i hate the doublefacedness that this man's action will be interpreted into. 10-20years from now when a fanatic muslim is in power and decides to move against the established churches... examples like these is what will be fed into the media to make people accept such actions.. when they start to publicise the amounts given to these churches who still tax their followers as if it is earthly money that's needed to build heavenly homes..then the muslim community will also drag everyone like they are currently being dragged whenever we huge amounts spent on hajj by govts...imagine if the rumour of the matter btw el rufai and the foursquare GO's sons turn out to be true..and the a muslim dominated govt decides to publish it. Can u imagine the shame the entire christian community will be in. |

Pa Adegboye's narrow-mindedness, obstinate bigotry towards GEJ had long showcased, most bitterly, far before the emergence of 'OBIDENTS'. Tinubu's catastrophic failure is too obvious for the blind not to see. You can label every Nigerian that speaks the truth to Tinubu's incompetence 'OBIDENT', but Nigerians are wiser now. Yorubas in large numbers are equally condemning Pa Adeboye for his hypocritical characteristics in government matters. If an elder of Adegboye's level fails to respect themselves and shows dogged hatred for non yorubas, he should be disregarded too. |

With all due respect, we are alive as we were 13years ago. We say and heard reactions from all and sundry. Labelling this an obidient sentiment is embarrassing. Many yorubas are not obidient but they also detest the entire precedents of this man in power from the 90s down to the present. Convenient to call them obidient. That aside, moGs were vocal against GEJ even when he visited many of them for prayers. They still didn't use that familiarity to not talk truth to power. Why should this now be different with BAT? Why the subtle(doesn't look subtle to me anyways) attempts to whitewash the obvious rot and incompetence by the very man that screamed EMI LOKAN passionately? I imagine a Prophet Samuel or Nathan refusing to say the truth to Saul and David when they faltered. I imagine Elijah sugar coating the mediocrity displayed by Ahab and Jezebel and telling the people that they're trying their best and they can't do anything else as they can't wear khaki to fight insecurity. One doesn't even need to be religious to know this very excuses are the lamest. For heaven's sake over 1000s kids are in captivity for at least 30days and this sugar coating now ![]() Cmon!! Leave partisan sentiments aside and lets open our eyes cos society is not safe for anyone of us to stand behind who can't guarantee the basic requirements of entrusted leadership aka security and economy |

Why will a pastor be biased. Did Jesus ever involve himself in politics. Whatever attack he receives, he deserves it 100 %. The man is defending incompetence instead of minding his church business. No one asked him for his opinion which is irrelevant. I say that as a christian. Just because he has the largest followership among the gullible Nigerian citizens does not give him the right to utter harmful opinions. This issue is not about obedients but about truth, morality and compassion for the downtrodden. |
| Re: Why Are Obidients Attacking Adeboye? Intolerance Is Becoming Too Loud To Ignore. by CharlesCNG(op): 1:32pm On Jul 01 |
Daguccizgreat:You people always expose yourselves faster than your handlers can repair. The issue was never whether only Obidients criticised Adeboye. The issue is the style of attack: the familiar mixture of abuse, tribal suspicion, “paid agent” accusations, intolerance, and zero engagement with the actual argument. Many people can disagree with Pastor Adeboye. That is normal. Pastors are not above criticism. But when the criticism immediately becomes insults, political labelling, ethnic framing and mob hysteria, then the feathers become familiar. And please, calling him “biased bigot of a pastor” while accusing others of shallowness is comedy. You are trying to prove you are not an intolerant political mob by speaking exactly like one. This is the Obidient trademark: mistake loudness for logic, mistake insult for courage, and mistake hatred for political awareness. Nobody said every critic is Obidient. But when a critic quacks with Obidient vocabulary, abuses with Obidient confidence, and dodges the substance with Obidient arrogance, forgive us for recognising the species. You don’t have to wear the badge. The behaviour has already introduced you. |
| Re: Why Are Obidients Attacking Adeboye? Intolerance Is Becoming Too Loud To Ignore. by CharlesCNG(op): 1:37pm On Jul 01 |
chidiokay:You people keep missing the road while shouting that others are shallow. Nobody said everybody criticising Adeboye is Obidient. Criticism is allowed. Adeboye is not above questioning. The issue is the Obidient pattern: once they disagree, they don’t argue calmly — they insult, tribalise, label, shout “Tinubu data boys,” and then pretend they are doing civic engagement. You asked why every opposing voice is called Obidient. Simple: not every opposing voice is Obidient, but when a voice abuses like one, stereotypes like one, dodges substance like one, and turns every issue into Tinubu/APC conspiracy, people will recognise the familiar uniform. On Adeboye’s point, you are also mixing two issues. Saying the President is ultimately responsible for national security is fair. But claiming he must personally “wear khaki” or carry gun is unserious. Even critics admit the security crisis is systemic — intelligence failure, police deployment, military capacity, local complicity, ransom economy and state-level weakness all play roles. Recent mass school kidnappings have drawn criticism of Tinubu’s security handling, but they also exposed wider structural failures in Nigeria’s security system. So yes, hold Tinubu accountable. But accountability is not the same as pretending one man personally controls every checkpoint, every forest, every informant, every school gate and every tactical failure. As for “Adeboye is close to Tinubu,” that is not an argument. If closeness automatically invalidates comment, then many of your own activists and pastors should also keep quiet whenever they comment on Obi. The real hypocrisy is this: when Adeboye says something that favours your political anger, he is a respected elder. When he says something you dislike, he becomes a “biased bigot.” That is not principle. That is selective outrage wearing choir robe. |

With elders like Adeboye, Soyinka, Edwin Clark you know this contraption called Nigeria can never work. The partisanship these so-called elders have displayed in spite of their so-called intelligence and reputation tells you Nigeria has no hope. These men are hiding under their accomplishments in the past to pass on false truth to their numerous followers. When you have a country where the elders cannot stand for the truth, you know there is no hope. The Professor and the Bishop are both misguided by ethnic bias is all you need to know. If the head is gone, the rest part of the body is gone. |

ogolemati:Thank you for finally confirming the diagnosis. When an argument becomes too heavy for you, you people immediately prescribe insults like roadside medicine sellers. Instead of answering the issue — whether criticism of Adeboye automatically means wisdom, whether Tinubu can be blamed for everything while institutions are ignored, and whether Obidients have a familiar pattern of abuse — you ran to “supplement can cure you.” That is the intellectual pharmacy of the Obidient abuse wing: no facts, no logic, no evidence, just fake diagnosis and cheap mockery. But I understand your condition. It is called Argument Deficiency Syndrome — when someone has enough energy to insult but not enough sense to respond. So keep your supplement, my brother. Use it first on your own logic. It is limping badly. |
