codemaniacs:Did you just say Ogba and Opebi.......still in the same Lagos, besides where is the land in those places you mentioned. The problem with Lagos State is that it overcrowded and below sea level. This is what you get when you dvelop one part of a country and largely ignore the rest. et me not even go to europen and American Countries, Look at South Africa: They have Durban, Capetown, Port Elizabeth, Johannesburg, Pretoria and More all the industries are spread across these cities nation wide. But Lagos State we have Dangote Refinery, Tin Can Island, International Airport, Apapa port, Lekki Free Trade Zone, and thousands of Industries. Lagos State is not the only state that is Located close to the Sea, We have about seven other states that shares boundary with the Alantic Ocean. |

makaveli902:Lagos is the commercial center of the Yorubas not of Nigeria and it is as a result of Yorubas concentrating their wealth there. nobody forced non-SW people to invest in Lagos and make the SW pot big while their own pot remained small.. There's a seaport in Rivers state called "port harcourt". There are also: Calabar port Onne port Warri port.. so that access to the Atlantic ocean excuse is ignorance.. Eastern Nigeria has crude oil, one of the largest gas deposits in Africa, one of the largest coal deposits in Africa while Yoruba people don't have the level of crude oil the SE have, the SW does not have gas deposits, does not have coal deposits. when it comes to natural resources wealth Eastern Nigeria is extremely richer and wealthier than the SW and the rest of Nigeria and they should not be allowed to participate in politics outside the eastern Nigeria. SW is significantly poorer than the Eastern Nigeria... |

You still don't get the point, Lagos state is already over populated with almost no land to develop or build on again. You mentioning Opebi, Ọgbà as if there is any available land to set up more industries is what I am trying to correct. If we should go by your point of view, Ondo, Osun, Ekiti and Oyo State are all Yoruba states isn't it, so why are we not channeling the same energy/investment in these places? All I was trying to say is if you concentrate so many industries in one place it creates a lot of problem like Housing, Environmental problems, overpopulation, Traffic, and all. codemaniacs: |

makaveli902:there is land close to the border with Benin republic.. A business cannot channel investment into places where it won't make profits unless that business has strong financial support.. nobody is concentrating businesses in one place.. tell non-SW people to move their businesses to their own region or states.. Lagos is SW people commercial state and it will remain that way.. let non-SW people go and create commercial state in their own region or states no one is forcing them to locate their business in Lagos.. |

makaveli902:There is a proverb, if in the dead of the night you hear 'carry it, carry it! '. You have to get out to join them to carry it or else the thing being carried will be dumped at your backyard. |
