50 Days in Captivity! VDM Alleges Seyi Makinde Paid Abductors, Yet Oyo Schoolchildren Still Missing

Nearly 50 days after the abduction of 39 schoolchildren and seven teachers in Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State, public concern continues to mount as the victims remain in captivity.

Social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) has alleged that the Oyo State Government paid a ransom for the victims' release but claimed the abductors failed to free them. The allegation has not been independently verified, and the Oyo State Government has not officially confirmed it.

The prolonged captivity has sparked renewed outrage, with many Nigerians calling on the federal and state governments, as well as security agencies, to intensify efforts to secure the victims' safe release.

Families of the abducted children and teachers continue to wait anxiously for positive news, while citizens urge authorities to provide regular updates on the rescue operation.

It is said that they OYO state government paid ransom for the release of the 39 children and 7 teachers that was abdvckted at orire LGA of OYO state on the 15 of may 2026

It is said that after the government made the payment they nappers still refused to release the children and teachers,as of today they have spent exactly 49 days in captivity(don’t know how true this is)

On the 17th of June 2026 when well meaning Nigerians came out to protest in OYO state demanding the release of the children in captivity the governor engr seyi makinde promised he was going to get them out and sadly makinde has failed to do so,the federal government have moved on,THE DSS,POLICE,ARMY seems to have also moved on and are more focused on the 2027 elections….

Tribalism is what's affecting us as a country, and it'll be hard for this country to know real progress.

The yourubas won't protest because their brother is in power cc Adeboye. If others try to do so, they'll say it's witch hunting and you can even be attacked or your protest hijacked.

Who is surprised? This is not the first time this nonsense is happening where ransom will be paid and yet the abductees will not be freed. There have even been instances where the person who goes to deliver the ransom is often abducted as well.

Nigeria government aIlowed these guys free reign for political reasons. Now they are acting with impunity. Even this particular case, both federal and state were aware this unfortunate incidents was going to happen! 15 minutes after it happened, they are also aware! I will never understand why the security agencies are not going offensive on these guys. Evil, useless politicians playing politics with the lives of the same people who voted them into power.

Every cockroaches and vile insects crawling out of every dirty cupboard and closet feeding on the captured children saga in the guise of content creation. This moment shall pass too.

Did he has his evident that ransom has been paid? It's not enough to just come online with allegation without evident because you believe some gullible people will listen to and believe you and if truly the criminals has collected money but refused to release their abductees shows that the kidnapping is more about religion and politics.
